Oh January, can you believe we have come to the end of the month? It’s time to summarise the first month of the year. Whether you see January as a depressing month or a fresh start I hope there have been some adventures. For our little family January was the perfect start to the new year, you were beautiful and everything we hoped it would be. Family is the word that best describes our January. Some might say it has been a long month, I would say a month we all needed, the days have felt longer and brighter (mostly) which fills me with so much excitement for the next season to arrive.
What can I tell you about our adventures in January? Quite simply it has been all about enjoying time together as a family, wrapped up in our little family bubble which we have all needed. We have enjoyed winter walks come rain or shine around Trentham Gardens and The Roaches, cosy afternoons snuggling under blankets watching movies, lazy starts and making plans for the year ahead. Booking our family holidays and weekends away. At the beginning of the month we celebrated my birthday which was a lovely surprise from my boys and the month ended with a trip to the cinema to see The Greatest Showman. What a blooming great month.
There’s a bit of a theme to this month and in all truth it is one I want to repeat again in February. Family, surrounding myself with two of the most important people in my life, enjoying the simple pleasures and not taking this time we have together for granted. Family really is the best place to be. And so here are a few a lot of photo’s from our month…
Are you ready to read all about everyone else’s adventures in January? Grab a cuppa and enjoy a little snoop around – don’t forget to stop by Laura’s blog, with having two hosts now you’ll receive double the love. As there are now two of us hosting we have decided to remove the badge and ask that you add a simple link back to where you have linked up so that people know where to join in the fun.
And lastly, don’t forget to join in over on Instagram using the hashtag #MyFamilyAdventures – Laura and I look through the hashtag daily and choose our favourites which we share over on stories. If you’ follow’ the hashtag, its a great new tool over on Instagram where the feed pops up in your feed – you might even find some new accounts to follow.
See you in the comments #MyFamilyAdventures crew and have a great February.
Happy belated birthday 🙂 I am desperate to see The Greatest Showman but we can’t get anyone to have our girls for us so the husband and I can go and see it. It sounds like you’ve had a lovely month as usual.
Thank you love. Wouldn’t the girls like the movie? George really loved it. x
I still haven’t been to see the Greatest Showman, but everyone says it sounds amazing. I have the Roaches earmarked for our trip up north over Easter (thanks for the idea!) and I have to say, George looks like a pro at his drumming lessons. Thanks for hosting this for another year x
It was truly amazing, I had goose bumps. A really great film you won’t be disappointed. Have a great Feb lovely x
These are lovely photos! It looks like you have had a wonderful January. January has been a very family orientated time as well, everyone’s birthday is around this time so we have just been concentrating on celebrating time with each other. This is the first time I have found this linky so will be keeping an eye on it going forward!

‘Family, surrounding myself with two of the most important people in my life, enjoying the simple pleasures and not taking this time we have together for granted. Family really is the best place to be.’ – these words summarise my thoughts & wants going into this new year so perfectly. Beautiful words & photos shared throughout this post.
