The Spring Edition

Well hello…

Can we officially get excited for Spring? The weather has been teasing us of late and been a joy this week. I’ve read that it’s set to stay and this fills my heart with joy. The lighter mornings and evenings are a blessing and something I long for in the Winter months. I adore Winter and the cosy season, but there always comes a time when I am craving brighter days.

I’m a huge fan of Spring, so this month along with our holiday plans for May half term and the Summer always brings a sense of renewal for me. I am slowly adding a few new pieces and footwear into my wardrobe and cannot wait to switchover what I am wearing. Its also feels incredible to be enjoying the sunshine and warmer days.

There’s something magical about the shift into Spring — like the world’s slowly waking up after a long nap. The mornings feel lighter, the sunshine lingers a little longer, and everything just seems a bit more hopeful. I find myself breathing a little easier, walking a little slower, noticing things again. One of my favourite parts? The change in fashion. I love swapping out heavy coats for lighter layers and a welcome splash of colour. Trading boots for trainers and sandals, and finally pulling those sunglasses out of hiding. There’s something quite lovely about that first cup of tea in the garden, still a touch crisp in the air, but with the sun on your face. Spring really does feel like a fresh start.

Here are my Spring loves…

The Spring Edition

The lace skirt

Delicate yet effortlessly cool, the lace skirt is having a real moment this Spring/Summer. It’s the perfect blend of romantic and modern — floaty enough for sunny days, but easy to toughen up with a blazer or chunky knit when there’s still a chill in the air. Whether it’s white, pastel, or black, lace brings that light, feminine touch we all start craving as soon as the daffs appear.

The chunky sandal

The chunky sandal is back on the scene, stomping its way into spring with unapologetic comfort and style. Equal parts practical and on-trend, it’s the kind of shoe that makes you feel grounded — literally. Perfect with floaty dresses, wide-leg trousers, or even just a classic jeans-and-tee combo, they add a cool edge to any look. I’m a huge fan of a Dr Marten and recently added the Gryphon Quad Sandal. Think elevated utility: wide straps, statement soles but a softer sole and leather which is making all the difference.

Bright blue skies

There’s something special about enjoying a quiet cup of coffee in the garden first thing. The air feels fresher, the sun softer, and the world just a little bit slower. It’s those moments — with the sun on your face and the day stretching ahead — that make you appreciate the small things. A calm start, a warm drink, and the feeling of Spring settling in. The blossom trees are finally blooming, filling the air with a soft, sweet scent that signals the full arrival of Spring.

As we step into Spring, it’s a time to embrace the change — whether it’s in the way we dress, the simple joys of a sunny morning, or the fresh energy that fills the air. I hope this little Spring edition has inspired you to make the most of the season’s bright moments. Here’s to welcoming the new season with open arms and a fresh perspective.
