Planning to travel to Ibiza as a family? Looking for cheap holidays out of season? Since a popular choice is to take a long weekend on this beautiful island, we’ve curated the ideal plan of what to do in Ibiza if you have 4 nights here. Away from the clubbers, the rest of the island has a laid-back, luxury boho kind of vibe.
Ibiza is known for its beaches, viewpoints and historic monuments. We visited a blend of tourist destinations and beaches comfortably in a four-day visit. Each time we travel, we organise an itinerary to ensure we make the most of every minute and our trip to Ibiza was no different.
If you’re planning a chilled few days in Ibiza, this itinerary is for you. And if you want to know what to do in Ibiza, that doesn’t involve visiting clubs and what to do with a teen then keep reading!
I highly recommend hiring a car while you’re in Ibiza. There’s so much to see and, as it’s a small island, you can easily go from one side of the island to the other. I would also recommend an early flight, you’ll arrive soon after breakfast and have a full day to explore! Come along as we explore the best things to do in Ibiza in this 4-day itinerary. You’ll discover the top beaches and landmarks, but also find places to eat and stay during your trip.
This is our four-day Ibiza itinerary. I hope you find it helpful for planning a short break to Ibiza.
Things to do in Ibiza: 4-day itinerary
Here is our four-day itinerary from our trip during the October half-term…
Day 1 – For our first day in Ibiza, the plan was simple: explore Ibiza Castle, Castell d’Eivissa an iconic landmark atop the Dalt Vila, and then drop down into the historic Old Town of Ibiza. Dalt Vila is easily accessed from Ibiza town and is free to enter. We parked for free at the Castle. Ensure you climb to the top of the Castle of Ibiza for panoramic views of the old town and surrounding landscape.
Day 2 – Spend the day beach hopping, which is always a favourite day for our little family when travelling. We visited a peaceful Cala D’Hort – a small beach with a fantastic view of the mysterious island of Es Vedrà. We then drove around to Cala Tarida Beach which is family-friendly with its white sand, and clean and clear shallow waters. Later that day, we drove to the stunning Cala Bassa Beach Club for lunch before making our way to our hotel.
Day 3 – We drove around to the west of the island and explored San Antonio. Known for its lively bars, clubs, and sunset at Cafe Del Mar and Cafe Mambo, we found it was peaceful, and quite the opposite due to being out of season. We walked along the promenade, around the marina, and down onto the beach before driving to Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera for lunch at Es Cantonet. A gorgeous hippy village that had the most incredible vibe, filled with artists, boutiques, bars and restaurants. A place I would revisit and even choose to stay. It felt unspoiled by travellers.
Day 4 – On our last day in Ibiza, we decided to take a walking tour. We walked into Playa d’en Bossa, as the area was closed for the season it wasn’t quite what we expected. We did however enjoy the walk back to our hotel along the beach and into the next village, Figuertas. We stopped on the beachfront for a drink before heading around the cove to Ibiza’s Old Town for a late lunch. Staying at Hotel Torre Del Mar meant we could walk to the old town within 30 minutes.

This post is in collaboration with Jet2 – our four days spent in Ibiza was gifted to us by Jet2. I have not been paid for writing this review however it was part of the collaboration that I would share my honest views of exploring the island. We loved Ibiza and would highly recommend adding the White Island to your travel plans.
