Cornwall has so many wonderful places to eat and drink. And having spent the last few years visiting different locations around this gorgeous Coastline I thought I would share a few of our favourite spots. Finding the hidden gems, the unique and interesting spots to grab a bite is always a priority when exploring new places.
Whether you’re in the mood for fresh-off-the-boat seafood or fresh-baked pizza with breathtaking views, this county is home to some of the best foodie places in Britain. We love Cornwall and cannot wait until we return in May.

1. Seaspray – located on Fistral Beach. The perfect place to stop for breakfast, brunch, or lunch to break up your day when visiting Newquay. It is located at the South end, nestled in the cliffs with incredible views. Dog-friendly, super chilled with a lovely atmosphere. In May it does get super busy so be prepared to queue. After indulging in their breakfast menu you walk to the sandy beach for a day of sun, sea, and fun in the sand.
2. Porthmeor Beach Cafe – located on Porthmeor Beach in St Ives. A stunning location overlooking the famous surfing beach in St Ives. With a delicious menu, it is one not to be missed. We have tasted the evening menu and next is breakfast! One to book in advance as it is trendy, being one of only two restaurants/cafes with incredible vistas across Porthmeor Beach and beyond.
3. The Hidden Hut – situated on the coastal path above Porthcurnick Beach, Portscatho. As the name suggests it is a hidden gem although very popular so not really hidden! With a gorgeous coastal walk surrounding the lunch spot and views looking over the beach, it’s a great spot. The food is incredible with a changing menu proud of it’s flavours and fresh produce. This dog-friendly beach makes it
4. Jam Jar – found in the centre of Crantock. We love this spot and cannot wait to take our friends this year. It is the perfect pit stop on your return from a day spent on the beach. Family-owned and renowned for their pizza and cocktails. A must when visiting Crantock or splitting up a day swimming in the gannel.
5. WAX – located behind Watergate Bay has a great vibe. A beach bar with a great menu and equally cool vibe. You can drop in after a day spent surfing on the incredible Watergate Bay for food and drinks. You’ll find WAX to be filled with families, surfers, and dogs, there’s no better place to be. A firm family favourite.
