How are you finding this gloomy weather? I am longing for blue skies and the sunshine on my face. In a bid to stay positive that the glorious Winter sunshine we have briefly seen is someday returning, let’s look back at my Winter Fashion Favourites. You’ll find this month’s choices are pieces you can carry through to Spring and Summer which is a must for my wardrobe.
The 3 styles I have been enjoying wearing this Winter – wide-leg trousers, a bomber jacket, and my Adidas Samba’s.
The winter coat is one of the biggest investments of the year, so you must make the right choice. Warmth, style, and the ability to throw on over everything in my wardrobe are three key things I look for when buying outerwear. Brands I typically look to are H&M, Zara, and Mango. This year I picked up a long, tailored overcoat that would allow me to wear layers and a bomber jacket that was warm but offered a casual vibe.
Wide-leg trousers were a surprise. Over the years I have witnessed the growing trend, honestly, they weren’t a style I ever thought I would wear. I was worried they wouldn’t look like me. Or, suit my shape. That was until I tried on a pair of wide-leg cropped jeans last year, invested in the M&S striped trousers and let’s not forget a little shimmery number to get me through the festive season. I have never looked back.
Trainers, if ever there was an investment shoe to purchase it is a pair of Adidas Samba’s. The only downside is you’ll want to buy them in every colour. They are versatile, simple in design, and notoriously comfortable.
