Hello January! I’m excited to see what 2024 brings. It’s my final fashion post of the year (yes I know it’s January!). Here’s a little look back at 2023, before I start to pull posts together about what I’m wearing in 2024. What a year it’s been. Lots of colour, wide-leg trousers, satin skirts, mesh and a splash of silver to get me through to the end of the year.
I’ve pulled together a round-up of my favourite outfits from 2023.
2023 was the year of the trainer and oversized denim jacket. What was it for you?
2023 started with a mesh dress and ended with silver trousers and my Samba’s. My go-to footwear styles are my Grenson boots, brightly coloured Nike trainers and my Adidas Samba’s. My Birkenstocks always make an appearance and in 2023 I invested in the Arizona beach sandal. This year I have enjoyed wearing feminine styles paired with masculine shapes. Denim midis and slip dresses, and satin skirts styled with oversized tees and jackets. I tried wide-leg trousers and fell in love.
So, all that’s left to talk about is the styles and items I am most excited about wearing in 2024. The arrival of a new year and fashion items always pushes me to a shift in mindset to the new season. I see January as a time for a fresh start and a great opportunity to re-evaluate my wardrobe and build a list of what I’ll need to take me into the new season. With the first few weeks of January out of the way my thoughts are turning to Spring outfits.
In 2024 I’m looking forward to styling a blazer and thinking about having a solid wardrobe of basics which can be worn again and again. Putting my twist on the masculine/feminine look. I can’t resist a pop of colour and metallic, but I know that the muted tones will still be a firm favourite.
