And just like that we are approaching the end of October and I haven’t managed to get around to writing about September. The month George started High School, where we are seeing him asking for more and more independence. It’s been a huge month of adjustment, and just like other chapters during this year, George has embraced the change and really shown us what an amazing boy he is growing up to be. Which just leaves Mr H and I, adjusting to life with a growing boy who perhaps doesn’t need our input as much.
The beginning of September was spent in Cyprus enjoying 35 degree heat and splashing our way through the last few days of Summer and ended with temperatures as low as zero, and new routines. The month of September has been focused on settling George (and ourselves) into new routines.
How was the month of September for you? Let me tell you a little more about the things that made us all smile in September, here is…
Me and Mine – September 2022
GEORGE
Walking to his new School with friends, making the cross country team for his new School, finding new friends at School, getting back to football training & matches with his two teams and visiting his two cousins on a sleepover in Manchester.
DADDY
Visiting friends in Manchester, watching George in his cross country races, taking up his role as coach for one of George’s football teams, Friday evening walks in the sunshine with pub stops on the way and time spent with friends.
MUMMY
Watching George take those first steps on his next big adventure at High School, Friday evening walks in the sunshine followed by pub drinks & playing cards, watching Mr H embarking on his football coaching of George’s team, watching George take 3rd place in two of his cross country races and making the Summer to Autumn/Winter wardrobe switchover.
BOBBY
Staying with Pauline & Jeff whilst we were on holiday, biscuit treats at the pub and early morning weekend walks with frost on the ground.
And that’s our Me and Mine – September 2022
As we find ourselves in the last few months of 2022, our 7th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see if I can make it another whole year of posting these updates. It has been a year full of adventure. A year where we have travelled.
Chapter 10 of 2022 awaits. The one that gets spooky! If you missed August‘s update you can read that here.
