A dress, chunky boots and a blazer, they are my comfort zone. That’s the key when you’re heading out. Choose an outfit that helps you to feel your best self. Most comfortable. And special. Even after 16 years I always feel so excited about a date day with Mr H. And equally about pulling together an outfit. Although styling for this transeasonal stage we are in is a challenge.
Transeasonal pieces are essential to any wardrobe. When I think about what to wear at this time of year I often find layers are the answer. Having the option to add or remove when the weather undoubtedly takes a turn. I love to curate my wardrobe so that in the event of any season an outfit can be crafted. Wearing the same items the whole year around, through each of the seasons keeps things simple.
And just like this date day outfit, worn at the beginning of March – a blazer worn under a trench coat, boots socks to keep in the warmth, a dress worn under a blazer. Perfect for those times when we are not quite sure if it is Summer or Winter. Just because the weather can’t quite make it’s mind up doesn’t mean your outfit has to be.
