The month of September is another month that has disappeared in a flash. I thought August flew with spending half of it in Greece. Maybe it’s because we’re back to School, after school clubs and sports in the evening. I have only managed to grab one family photo this month it’s been that crazy, or maybe I should blame the rain. The last two weeks have been disappeared with visiting high schools and working on homework projects. Year Six really has ramped up.
Each month I sit down around the last few days and look through my camera roll. This month has been a really lovely blend of time together as a family, with friends and alone time. We chat about our favourite days, achievements or weekends from the month. We all have our own list. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do. Do you ever do this?
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 9.
Before we jump into October and Halloween and layers, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile the last few weeks, here is…
ME AND MINE – SEPTEMBER 2021
GEORGE
Running in his School Cross Country team and coming first in the Year 6 race, playing football with his friends on the field, achieving top marks in his maths test which he’s been working so hard for, sleepovers with his friends, going to a Man Utd game and playing with Bob at Trentham Gardens.
DADDY
Watching Man Utd games back at the stadium, booking a Christmas break to London with friends, date day in Manchester, seeing friends for a birthday celebration, days out as a family and exploring new spots to walk with Bob.
MUMMY
Our time together as a family walking in the woods and at Trentham Gardens, date day in Manchester, planning a trip to Manchester to watch Jessie Ware, booking tickets to see Ed Sheeran for George and seeing George running his Cross Country race and winning.
BOBBY
Running with George through the woods, chewing his bed (much to my dismay), eating raw treats – cows ears are his new favourites, all the family being home on rainy Sunday’s and going to watch George play football.
AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – SEPTEMBER 2021
Despite everything the world continues to throw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move rapidly through 2021, our 6th year taking part in this #meandmineproject I am excited to see how the rest of the year develops. Each month we’re one step closer to a little bit of normality with a little bit of caution thrown in.
And so, Chapter 10 of 2021 awaits. Have a great month ahead.
