I’m always sad to say goodbye to the month of June. Especially this year as we have had two birthdays to celebrate – George and Bobby. We’ve had some glorious weather days, we’ve also had some rainy days but the sun shone on both birthdays which is really all that mattered in June.
I mentioned this last month, something I do at the end of each month is to sit down around the last few days and look through my camera roll. Scrolling right back to the beginning of the month, recalling the moments – big or small. We chat about our favourite days or weekends from the month. We all have our own list. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do. Do you ever do this?
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 6.
Before we jump into July, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile the last few weeks, here is…
ME AND MINE – JUNE 2021
GEORGE
Watching England play in the Euro’s, winning the match at his last two games with his football teams, camping with his best friend, being surprised with a hoverboard for his birthday and making it to his paintballing birthday party.
DADDY
Watching George open up his birthday presents, watching England and some of his favourite players in the Euro’s, spending Father’s Day at Freight Island, watching George play in his last two games of the seasons,
MUMMY
Watching George at Sports Day where he won two races, celebrating Father’s Day with friends in Manchester, seeing George in his last two games with his football teams, celebrating George’s 10th birthday and our first camping trip of the year in our new tent.
BOBBY
Running across the field near the campsite, playing with new toys, eating birthday biscuits, playing in the garden in the sunshine and getting lots of cuddles and TLC.
AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – JUNE 2021
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move through 2021, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how the year develops. Each month we’re one step closer to a little bit of normality. July should be the month we see the most normality from the last 18 months.
Chapter 7 of 2021 awaits. The last few weeks of Year 5. The build up to our Summer holiday (fingers crossed). Have a great month ahead.
