The month of July has flown, the last few weeks of the School term, of Year 5. Long days and evenings filled with sunshine, blue skies and some seriously chilled vibes. There’s been lots of football, tournaments and trophies. It feels really good that we’ve got to this point, especially this year as we all feel like we’ve just got back to a degree of normality for George.
Each month I sit down around the last few days and look through my camera roll. Scrolling right back to the beginning of the month, recalling the moments – big or small. We chat about our favourite days or weekends from the month. We all have our own list. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do. Do you ever do this?
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 7.
Before we jump into August and hopefully get on a jet plane, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile the last few weeks, here is…
ME AND MINE – JULY 2021
GEORGE
Being awarded a certificate at his swimming class, winning a tournament with his football team, spending some of his birthday money on a cricket set and playing together on the field, getting a paddling pool for the sunny days and going camping in Wales.
DADDY
Watching George win his football tournament, lazy weekends in the sunshine, passing his final exam (which means no more study), BBQ’s with friends, and planning our camping trip in Wales.
MUMMY
Watching George in his football tournament, seeing George excel at swimming, meeting a friend for a walk, our trip to Wales, Yoga by the lake and planning our next Summer adventure (hopefully to Greece).
BOBBY
Running across the field with some other Chocolate Labradors, new toys and raw treats for his ‘Gotcha Day’, camping and seeing cows, jumping in to the paddling pool and stealing shoes.
Me and Mine – July 2021
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move through 2021, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how the year develops. Each month we’re one step closer to a little bit of normality. July felt like the most normality, although I have to say we are still restricting our movements and wearing masks.
And so, Chapter 8 of 2021 awaits. The build up to our big Summer holiday (fingers crossed). Have a great month ahead.
