Well, I don’t know about you but May just flew by. Despite the rainfall, some incredibly wet days we managed to enjoy some glorious sunshine filled days that helped to blur the rainy day memories. Hallelujah for the start and end of the month of May being so bright, warm and full of adventure. As I type this post it has been declared the warmest day of 2021. It’s a scorcher.
Each month I do the same, I sit down around the last few days of the month and look through my camera roll. Scrolling right back to the beginning of the month, recalling the moments – big or small. We chat about our favourite days or weekends from the month. We all have our own list. It’s actually one of my favourite things to do. Do you ever do this?
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 5.
Before we jump into June, which is set to be a HUGE month for the Hargreaves family, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile lately, here is…
ME AND MINE – MAY 2021
GEORGE
Winning man of the match one weekend for both football teams, running in the sea with Bobby, going to Chester Zoo with our friends, having friends over in our garden for a BBQ and our favourite Chinese restaurant finally opening back up – he had a huge feast!
DADDY
Watching George have a cracking month on the football field for both teams, enjoying a trip to Manchester with friends for birthday drinks and food, grabbing a seat in the Manchester United Ballot for their first match with an audience, hosting a BBQ for friends and catching up with groups of friends as the world opens back up again.
MUMMY
A long bank holiday weekend in the sunshine at the start and end of the month, a beach trip, taking George pottery painting at Emma Bridgewater, introducing Bobby to doggy day care, booking a camping trip at the end of the football season and catch up with friends over cocktails.
BOBBY
Trying out a doggy day care running around with lots of dogs for hours, eating ice cubes to cool down in the sunshine, a new collar, eating a big bone, playing with my humans tree in the garden and sleeping on the big bed.
AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – MAY 2021
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move through 2021, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how the year develops. Each month we’re closer to a little bit of normality. It would have been easy to stop. But actually it’s already really lovely to look back on the first few months of the year, almost half of the year.
Chapter 6 of 2021 awaits. A month of milestone birthdays for Bob and George.
