When I think back over April or look through my camera roll I can’t help but think it has been a pretty great month. We’ve had days out, meals out as a family, spent time with friends in their gardens and some gorgeous weather days. We also had a fantastic long Easter weekend and half term together. We haven’t jumped straight back into things, we’re taking things at our pace but we are enjoying a little bit of new found freedom.
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 4. A whole month of seeing the world awaken. I can’t help but think, why is the year passing by so quickly? There’s so much we want to do. This month George has been back to football, competitive matches, swimming and boxing. Our evenings and weekends are definitely different. Although due to Covid only one parent can attend so we’re still navigating new rules. Before we jump into May, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is…
ME AND MINE – APRIL 2021
GEORGE
Playing with his friends in their gardens, returning to football matches, Nanny & Grandad picking him up from School for the first time since March 2020, booking his Paintballing Birthday Party and getting back to swimming club.
DADDY
Seeing his friends in a beer garden, booking days out as a family, climbing up to The Cloud as a family, buying a tent and planning camping trips and a long Easter weekend in the sunshine.
MUMMY
A long bank holiday weekend in the sunshine, taking a break over half term with George, taking Bob on his first climb up to The Cloud, planning a trip to the beach and venturing out for Sunday lunch as a family.
BOBBY
Sunbathing in the April sunshine, half term adventures running across the field, trying out a doggy day care club, eating chicken feet and finding a new spot in the bay window to people watch.
AND THAT’S OUR ME AND MINE – APRIL 2021.
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest of times. As we move through 2021, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how the year develops. Each month we’re closer to a little bit of normality. It would have been easy to stop. But actually it’s already really lovely to look back on the first few months of the year.
Chapter 5 of 2021 awaits. A month of doing more of the things we love with the people we love.
