Who knew Disc Golf was a thing!
We’d heard of it at Trentham Gardens but never really knew what it actually was. Or how much fun it would be! But when the Easter holidays arrived we thought we would try it out with our friends as we’d planned a day out together. I am so glad that we did. The boys really had so much fun, so very unexpected but filled with so much laughter. We even did the course a second time.
Think crazy golf but with a disc, a score card and woodland to run around. The aim of the game is to get the disc into the basket in as few throws as possible. With 9 holes you’ll be tested on the different runways and don’t forget to try the 3 levels of difficulty which is great for different age children. Hole 6 was our favourite.
Where is Family Friendly Disc Golf at Trentham Gardens?
The Disc Golf course is located in the Parkland, just past Burkes Wood on the left behind the Cream Woodgate Cottage. My advice would be to walk around the lake and then as a reward to your little people complete the course before you arrive at the adventure playground. If you need a practice then you can find a dedicated practice basket at the top of the hill on the right before the zip wire. You can find a map here, Disc Golf is number 10 on the list!
How much is it?
The cost of playing Disc Golf is £5 per person, this is in addition to the gardens admission fee. A game takes roughly an hour to complete and definitely not just for children! Next time I’m joining in. You won’t be disappointed, we had great fun!
