Our little family in February
When I think back over February or look through my camera roll I can’t help but think it has been a pretty great month. Awesome actually. We’ve had snow, blue skies, sunshine – it felt like Spring for a few days. The sunrise and sunsets have been a photographers dream. We heard the news that there is a roadmap for opening the country back up, I’m hopeful of putting plans back on to the family planner and so looking forward to being more social this year. Ending February full of hope has to be a good thing right?
George and I enjoyed a couple of days together over February half-term which I always look forward to. There was no huge days out or play dates with friends but we enjoyed slowing down together just us. I crave and totally miss our Mummy and Son days. Despite half-term feeling so different this year we managed to see Nanny and Grandad on their doorstep which was the first time since Christmas. It was so emotional, I am looking forward to when we can see them, hug them and spend more than a few minutes with them. Sometime soon.
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 2. Let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is…
Me and Mine – February 2021
George
Hours playing football in the garden, home-schooling coming to an end, playing on the park at Trentham Gardens for the first time in a long time, watching the Mars Rover landing on the moon and a walk in the sunshine over half-term when we enjoyed waffles and ice cream.
Daddy
Making plans for a summer holiday, passing his exam and having free weekends for a little while, afternoons playing football in the garden whilst the sun shines, family walks with Bob at the weekend and the end of home-schooling.
Mummy
Unpacking my Spring wardrobe, blue skies and warm sunshine, my first Frappuccino, February half-term with my gorgeous boy and sunset walks around the lake.
Bobby
Transitioning to a raw diet, sunbathing in the garden, Valentines day treats, more time off the lead running on the field and sleeping with George in his bedroom.
And that’s our Me and Mine – February 2021.
Despite everything 2020 threw at us I am so glad that we have still managed to capture our little family during the strangest year. As we start a new year, our 6th year taking part in the #meandmineproject I’m excited to see how 2021 develops. It would have been easy to stop. But actually it’s already really lovely to look back on the first two months of the year.
Chapter 3 of 2021 awaits. A month of birthdays over here.
