What a start to 2021 and we are only at the end of week one!
We made it to the weekend! I don’t know about you but it took a couple of days to settle in to the new year, the new lockdown. I had a little wobble at the start of the week. It wasn’t something I expected. Sending so much love to you, whether you’re a key worker, a working parent, home schooling, on furlough, all of the above and more. We all have an impossible task – I truly believe this time shall pass.
There is sunshine ahead, you just have to look for it.
As the end of the year arrived, like so many others I was filled with so much hope. There’s been Snow, Zoom parties to welcome in the New Year, a really moving New Years Eve countdown on the BBC, slow days watching Bridgerton, my birthday and let’s not forget the return to Work and School (almost). Like so many I was filled with so much excitement for the year ahead. I still am actually although very aware that the announcement of Lockdown 3.0 has had a huge impact and changed the excitement in so many ways.
I hear so many saying this lockdown will be particularly difficult because of the weather and shorter days – I can’t help but think unless it’s raining I love Winter. It’s a very beautiful time of year. I’m trying my best to stay positive. To look for the moments, no matter how small. When there’s a frost on the ground, bright sunshine and blue skies – I’m going to enjoy it. It really is a very pretty time of year. We had 7 wonderful days of Snow. We lived in a Winter Wonderland for days. Winter walks have always been a favourite of mine and this year, just like the last we need to make the most of them.
Stay safe, stay well, look after yourself. This too shall pass. Sending you all so much love.
