Hello half-term, we made it!
Hopefully you all made it without too many complications, it’s been a whirlwind School term over here. George has really enjoyed being back learning with his teacher and friends. We only experienced one episode of being back in isolation for 48 hours. And despite being home for months George is looking forward to a few days off from School and football training. I’m hoping we can make this week as enjoyable as possible despite the weather forecast. We’ll be heading out, going on adventures and generally having some really awesome family time together.
On Monday we ended up in A&E with George, he hurt himself training last week and sadly seemed to get worse for him on Monday. Thankfully after some rest he is on the mend. Which is just wonderful news as we head into half term. It’s a working holiday for me but that’s all good as it still means I get to enjoy time with George and Bobby.
What I’m Loving This Week
Wearing – last weekend was definitely all about being comfortable. Joggers and sweaters, pjs and winter coats to keep warm whilst watching George play football. I loved wrapping up and heading out with my crew.
Writing – over the last few weeks I’ve really enjoyed updating the blog, it’s definitely returned to being more of a journal which honestly – I am really happy about. Here are some of my favourite posts… why I love this time of year, an update on life with a puppy, how to style a slip dress and camping as a family.
Organising – we have started to make plans for Christmas and pop days out in the dairy. Not too many as there are so many events not going ahead. We are determined to make this a magical time despite all the restrictions.
Saturday evening’s – my new favourite time of a weekend. We’ve enjoyed heading out to a local pub with Bobby. It’s been lovely to sit next to a roaring fire, play card games and . Such fun. Simple times but ones that filled my heart.
Have a great weekend love KA x x
George looks so grown up with his new haircut! I hope you managed to have a good half term, despite the wet weather. Saturday nights in the pub with a fire, sounds perfect x
