Hello Autumn!
I really do feel like we’ve turned a corner now with the season. I’m wrapped up each day and really enjoying the layers. I even picked up some ankle socks to wear with my trainers and boots – it is way too cold for bare ankles these days. I love that the ground is covered in a blanket of crunchy leaves and that the trees are a cocktail of colours. The skies have been blue and it really has made all the difference to the drop in temperature.
Mr H didn’t manage to make his apple crumble last weekend so I am hoping one appears on Sunday. I love that we’ve fallen into our Autumn/Winter ritual of cosy Sunday evenings spent eating comfort food and watching movies. Mr H has even dared to mention that there is a Christmas movie showing this weekend. Is it too soon?
And so, this is…
What I’m Loving This Week
Wearing – I dug out a favourite outfit from my wardrobe last year and really enjoyed creating a 2020 twist on it. The jumper dress, which I mentioned in my Autumn wardrobe post – it’s so on trend this year. And so, I styled it with my trainers, a hat and paired it with my leather leggings. And I loved it. What do you think?
Drinks in our favourite pub – we haven’t been out to a pub for evening drinks as a family since August when we were in Devon. It was so lovely to venture out together and take Bobby with us. Hopefully we maintain our Tier 1 status so that we can enjoy more evenings like this. I feel very fortunate that we in an area that is not in a high risk zone.
Evening walks – the weather has been so lovely this week. Well, in between the rain that is there have been some lovely blue skies and bright sunshine shining through. We have made the most of them and really enjoyed exploring new parts of favourite areas that we like to visit. These are the simple moments I want to remember, I fear we’re getting closer to the days when he might not want to run off with me to the park. Soon he’ll be exploring with his friends and I’ll be hiding in the bushes ensuring they are all safe.
Have a lovely weekend. Love KA
We’ve got into a lovely routine of Sunday, that is all about food, walks and cosy evenings. x
