Happy Friday!
How was your week lovelies? The weather, a new season, wardrobe changeover, a new month. I feel so happy. It’s been a great week. We had another lazy weekend over here. We caught up with friends, saw grandparents, had lazy starts to the days. Sunday was super, apart from walking Bobby we had a really lovely slow day, comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a movie and an early night. Just super.
Our weekend was just the right amount of downtime, time to refresh and family time before a busy week ahead with work, school and football training. That’s what I love about this time of year – the change of season brings cosy afternoons, big jumpers and slow weekends. Its cool in the evenings and warm in the afternoons. Do you enjoy this time of year?
And so this week I have been…
I managed to grab a couple of hours on Saturday to meet a friend who I haven’t seen in weeks, we grabbed coffee and walked around the lake at Trentham Gardens. Mr H and I enjoyed a very spur of the moment evening out with friends, our first night out together as friends since lockdown. I think Nanny and Grandad enjoyed sitting in with George and Bobby more than we could have imagined. Sunday revolved around football training, pj’s and food. As well as conker hunting and generally feeling quite lazy. Not getting dressed until lunch felt pretty great.
And then there’s this week – the weekdays revolve around pretty busy work schedules, the mornings suddenly feel shorter – maybe that’s because we have to factor in a dog walk or it could be that they are so much darker. George has football training every night with the exception of a Wednesday, which I have now made my flexible working day. This week we took Bobby for a walk and picked him up a new collar and lead. We haven’t had this 2 hours together just us since the start of lockdown. It’s always a favourite time of my week.
Have a great weekend and week ahead x x
