So long October
Another chapter closed for 2020. We are climbing closer to the end of the year. It certainly does feel like a climb this year. Thankfully we’ve managed to enjoy being outside so much this month. The great outdoors are so inviting at this time of year, full of colour and joy. Full of life. It’s why I love this time of year. It’s been lovely to explore together, take Bobby on long walks and have alfresco picnics with friends. You can follow our half term adventures over on Insta.
This was the month we were meant to be in California, visiting the original Disneyland and Universal Studios and then onto a road trip. This is perhaps the first time that I’ve felt sadness about losing a trip during this period. It would have been a wonderful experience for George, for all of us. Hopefully we can make the magic happen another year.
And so, it’s the end of Chapter 10. As I write this post it’s half term, I have woken early and the boys are sleeping. And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is…
Me and Mine – October 2020
George
His big boy hair cut – he is so happy with it, going to the park after School, visiting the Magical Woodland, a day out at Waterworld and finding a waterfall on a walk with friends.
Daddy
Is enjoying cooking up a storm in the kitchen, having a huge clear out of the cellar, watching George play football on weekends, going on the slides at Waterworld, George getting a big boy hair cut and family date night.
Mummy
Visiting the Magical Woodland, taking part in the Halloween Trail at Trentham Gardens, family date nights on Saturdays, Daddy making apple crumble, painting a Christmas plate on half term and the colour of the trees.
Bobby
Morning walks with Daddy, jumping in the stream on a walk, eating frozen yoghurt and apple, half term because all the family were home. A Christmas jumper arriving for the Winter.
And that’s our Me and Mine – October 2020.
I say this each month, but it feels right that I am continuing to grab some photos of us during this time. Especially as we now have a new addition. I’m so excited to see him grow with George through these photos. You can take a little look at this year’s me and mine project ‘s here. This truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so this year. Documenting this time feels so precious. November is an exciting month, we get to visit the Christmas tree farm to pick out our trees for the festive period.
Have a wonderful month ahead. Chapter 11.
