Halloween fun for all the family

We certainly got in to the spooky spirit with the Halloween Trickery Trail at Trentham Gardens on Monday. The team at Trentham never fail to help parents entertain their children during half term. This year the team have surpassed my expectation and any previous year and school holiday activity. They really have made such a great effort. George declared it the BEST day and I have to agree. It was spooktacular, creative and fun for all the family. Plenty of frightful fun.

As soon as the ‘What’s On’ email dropped into my inbox I was drawn to the witches and wizard hats. We had so much fun goofing around under the hats! And why not. I was definitely an Instagram cliche! I can imagine this tunnel has appeared on many Instagram and Facebook feeds this week. We spent a spooky two hours wandering around the gardens which I have to say are looking so beautiful and full of colour right now. They’re a must see.

What a great way to spend the beginning of half term. You could easily spend more time here, as regular visitors to Trentham Gardens we just focused on the Halloween activities. However there is so much more to do. You could walk around the lake, follow the fairy trail, adventure through Burke’s Wood, play on the adventure playground and enjoy the sensory garden.

We had so much fun taking part in the Halloween activities, they are an additional cost to your entry but totally worth it for the experience. We created a wizarding wand and built a brilliant broomstick. Admittedly it slipped my mind that we had to take it home with us in the car. You could also create some sorcerous spells. You can take part in all of these activities between 10 am and 3 pm so don’t miss out! You really will have a spooktacular time. And don’t worry if creativity isn’t your thing, the staff are on hand to guide you.
