Oh hey there.
Well that was a week of two halves, and I mean the weather more than anything else. A gorgeous warm and sunny weekend, then rain with the sunshine returning most afternoons. And best of all it is set to stay for the weekend. Albeit blooming freezing. Some days I may have changed my outfit 3 times.
What a difference a week can make, last week I was definitely feeling like things were a little tough and getting on top of me. This week, I couldn’t feel more positive, which feels great. A mixture of a good week in the H2 office and a weekend really slowing down makes. Switching off and focusing on the little things like pottering around the house and garden, walking in the fresh air with the family and enjoying a lazy morning in bed with coffee and croissants, a pup and a magazine or two.
How was your week?
And so, these are a few of the things I am loving this week…
Reintroducing Friday night movie night, pottering about the house and garden – enjoying the sunshine and really slowing things down. Taking a stroll around Trentham Gardens, buying hot chocolate for George and treats for Bobby, watching George play in a football match – my first since his training and matches kicked in a few weeks ago. Setting up our new fish tank for Donald and wearing the start of my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. It has felt lovely to pop on layers and feel the sunshine on my face and that cool breeze on my cheeks. My woolly hats are out and it makes me happy, very happy.
The biggest thing I have learned this week is when life gets busy, a few things get on top of me I need to strip everything back.
Have a great weekend x x
Love this! I have totally noticed the overwhelm and need to strip back at the weekends. It’s nice to move slowly and spend quality time with family. I love the autumn days where the sun is shining but it’s chilly. Need to have a look through the wardrobe and get out some more of those layers this weekend I think. Have a good one x

Thank you for popping over love. You’re right, stripping back and taking some time to slow down is so important. x
I was feeling overwhelmed by it all last week and at the weekend, spent time sorting out part of the house and this really helped. Taking a step back and slowing down definitely helps me too x
