Hello weekend.
Gosh the summer holidays have flown by. Don’t you think? This is the last weekend of August. The last few days before School and what will be a new normal for our little family. For everyone. We’ve taken the last two weeks as a little break together, to enjoy the end of the holidays. To think that it has been six months. Gosh. We’re almost there.
We are all trying to squeeze as much out of these last few days together. Waking early, chasing the sunshine, dodging the rain showers. Before the routine of School, football training and weekend matches take over. I have loved spending so much time together, there is going to be some serious adjustment for all of us. I don’t mean getting back to work as we’ve both been working full time. The time apart is going to be the hardest part.
What I’m loving this week
Fashion
On Monday it felt like Summer, by Tuesday Autumn and Wednesday Winter. I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to my Summer wardrobe but I was happy to pop my trenchcoat on. I always do like that in between season, layers and socks. Cosy times. Although looking back at this post makes me think about my summer wardrobe again.
Dog walking
As Bobby is 12 weeks old we can stretch his walks a little further. It felt so good taking him to Trentham Gardens. We were never able to walk Alf around the gardens as he was never socialised. This time we are going to make so much more use of our annual passes. He loved watching the ducks and meeting all the furry babies as we walked around the lake.
Movie afternoons
As the weather hasn’t always been kind over the last few days we’ve enjoyed watching endless Marvel movies and movies on Disney +. Relaxing together and getting cosy under blankets. Enjoying a few slow hours together because very soon these moments will be much less.
Time with George
We escaped for a couple of hours together. We grabbed some food and played a round of crazy golf. A lovely couple of hours together. George was meant to have his birthday party at The Clubhouse but sadly a little thing call Coronavirus got in the way. It would have been so much fun. If you are local and like street art then should take a little look at this post and take yourself off on a walking tour.
And that’s What I’m Loving This Week.
Have a great week. See you next time. When our children will be back in School. If I snap my fingers will all this madness be gone?
