Me and Mine – April 2020
Farewell April, a month that will never leave us. A time in our lives that will be imprinted. One that we’ll talk about in years to come. A time when children couldn’t go to school and parents had to home school, work from home with restrictions on daily movements. I said the same about March and I wonder how many more months I will say that for. A month that will never leave us. And so, it’s the end of Chapter 4.
Despite the challenges with home schooling, the worry for ageing grandparents, sleepless nights, so much death, loss, social distancing and more we are finding ways to navigate through this time. We are finding joyful moments. The moments in between. Trying to support each other through this time. It really is the little things that can often bring the biggest smiles.
And so, let me tell you a little more about the things that have made us smile, here is Me and Mine – April 2020 …
George
Playing Mario Kart against his friends online, speaking to his teacher on the telephone, bike rides on our daily exercise, decorating his bedroom – it’s now a big boy football bedroom and playing swing ball tennis in our garden.
Daddy
Decorating George’s bedroom, kicking a ball about on our daily walk, making some progress on our garden, Zoom quizzes with friends and running regularly with George.
Mummy
Alfresco lunches with George, Dalgona coffees in the sunshine, our weekend walk through a Bluebell Wood, Zoom quizzes with friends, Face time with Nanny and Grandad and seeing the smile on George’s face when Miss B called him to check in on him.
And that’s this months Me and Mine. I’m so glad I managed to grab a few photos on one of our daily walks. You can take a little look at 2019’s me and mine project here. I say this each and every month, but this truly is a gorgeous family portrait project. Maybe even more so now.
And lastly, I hope you have a wonderful month of May ahead. Let’s focus on ourselves. Be proud and appreciate what we have right now, today and feel true gratitude and joy for our health.
