This week I have been juggling.
I guess that’s the norm for half term right? Until last week we had cover sorted, we were good. All organised and set on the family planner. With a mixture of football clubs and time with Nanny and Grandad. And then as I mentioned last week George went and hurt his wrist. All our plans changed. Poor little man. So far he’s coped really well, despite missing his football training and desperate to be outdoors he’s coping.
And so this week I have been…
Wearing
I am forever wearing my shacket. Topshop is back to being a favourite place to shop. It was such a great buy and in the sale. Perfect for this in between weather we’re experiencing. Where the winter coat is too much. And of course I love that it’s pink. It’s so wearable. I’ve worn it with my leather leggings and now a dress. I really do love the look. And this is my new favourite outfit. It got a whole lot of love over on Insta this week.
Photo styling
Last weekend George and I drove over to my lovely friend Jenny’s for the day. Whilst the little ones played, Jenny and I were styling photos, chatting and generally just taking some time out together. It was a lovely day although the journey home with Storm Dennis blowing us all across the motorway wasn’t my favourite time.
Painting Pottery
I managed to take two days off with George for half term and as we always do we booked a slot at the Emma Bridgewater decorating studio. Oh we do love painting a pot. This time George painted a bowl (with quite a bit of help this time bless him) and devoted it to our fur baby Alfie. So sweet. And of course the grown ups enjoyed tea and cake.
Watching
George and I went to see Sonic the movie at the cinema which actually wasn’t that bad. I didn’t really know what to expect, I’m not a huge fan of Jim Carey so half expected to hate it. But George loved it and hasn’t stopped playing his new Sonic racing car game since.
Mr H and I have been watching a couple of documentaries this week. He loves boxing so we’ve seen a couple of episodes of Tyson Fury’s programme. We’ve also watched the Rio & Katie documentary, which surprised me. Both have actually, although the jury is still out on Tyson Fury.
Writing
And lastly, writing. I haven’t really done much of that this week but I have published a post with 5 reasons to start a blog. It’s a question I’ve been asked a lot over the years so after someone asked the question again recently I thought I’d write it down. And then there’s another Disney post that I’ve put together all about where the best places are to find Disney Character at Walt Disney World.
And that’s this weeks I have been. Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead. We’re taking things slow this weekend as life becomes busy again next weekend with the start of Mr H’s 40th birthday celebrations.
Sounds like you had a lovely time with George. We love to go pottery painting too, I find it really relaxing. I hope George’s wrist gets better soon and he is back to playing football x
