Oh hey there Friday and half term.
It feels like so much time has passed since I wrote my last this week I have been post. What do you guys think? Time is flying by. In reality, so much has happened over the last week that I thought two weeks had passed me by.
Until yesterday it had been a wonderful week. There have been blue skies, man of the match awards, days out, signs of Spring and Winter. An all weather week some might say. And then just as the half term was approaching and our dreams of four fulfilled days together, my gorgeous George fell playing football and broke his wrist. Well, the hospital aren’t 100% sure if it’s broken and so we are set to go back to the fracture clinic on Monday. Until then he is wearing a cast. Fingers crossed it isn’t broken.
This week I have been…
Getting crafty
George and I had a lovely day together last weekend. The sun was shining. And so we made the most of the weather and head over to Trentham Gardens to take part in their half term activities. We made a hedgehog and a heart wreath birds nest. We wandered. We drank hot chocolate. Ate treats along the way. It was a glorious Saturday.
Listening to
Adore You. I really do love the sound of Harry Styles. Have you heard his album? The look and feel of it really is great, he reminds me of Prince, Mick Jagger and Elton John. His style is so eclectic. I love it.
Watching
We have been watching Strangers. Finally finished it. If truth be told I didn’t love it. mr H enjoyed it. I’m glad I got to the end. Have you seen it?
Wearing
You know me. Always my favourite section. I picked up a new dress a few weeks ago. It’s a ‘throw on’ Topshop dress that I cannot wait to wear in Spring/Summer with trainers and sandals.
And then there’s my new love, a shacket. In pink of course. I’ve been waiting for one to catch my eye. One that wasn’t plaid or red. Pink suits my style and it means I can pair it with a few things in my wardrobe. Makes perfect sense.
Sunday lunching
We spent most of last Sunday catching up with friends over Sunday lunch. It was lovely. Really lovely. Mr H made Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and roast beef. It’s becoming a family favourite. Ooh and then I made a berry crumble with lashings of custard. It was a joy.
So nice to see our friends. To catch up. Make half term plans. To laugh. And drink a Gin or two.
And that’s this week’s I have been post. Have a great weekend my loves.
I’m sorry to hear about George and his accident, I hope it turns out not to be broken.
Take care and all the best.
