What a gorgeous weather week.
Frosts and blue skies. Lighter mornings and evenings. It’s been lovely. Really lovely. How has your week been?
I don’t know about you but January can be a little gloomy on the weather front so its been refreshing that since February arrived the sun has shone and the skies have been blue. February is shaping up to be a pretty great month. I am lucky to have a few days just me and my boy this month, what with February half term and Mr H away with the boys. We’re already planning our days as well as a lazy morning or two.
And so this week I have been
Wearing
As the temperatures have risen in recent days I’ve dared to bare my ankles and lose the tights. Well, at least at the weekend. I’m always a little braver at the weekend. I am dreaming of Spring sunshine and dresses and sandals. I cannot wait to switch up my wardrobe. I don’t know about you but I’m done with the chunky knits. Well unless it’s a lazy Sunday that is.
Watching
When I have some free time I’ve been settling down to watch Sex and the City from the beginning. I had forgotten how much I love watching these episodes back. They always leave me dreaming of shoes and dresses. Of the City. I am desperate to go back to New York, it’s been years. 11 actually. Maybe 12. One day we’ll go back with George, I can’t wait to explore as a family. The last two times were just Mr H and I. We actually got engaged in New York, which was our last visit.
Writing
I’ve enjoyed writing a couple of posts for the blog, stealing time away from the boys to write is getting harder and harder so when I do get a little time I find myself hiding away with a cup of coffee. You can read my 10 days out in Staffordshire for half term. I’ve also written about my 40th birthday at Darwin Forest. And lastly our Top Tips for visiting Lapland.
Celebrating
My gorgeous George taking man of the match for his team he plays for on a Saturday. Bless him. He puts everything into his football. We are so proud of him. He also had a cracking game on Sunday and scored two goals, it’s amazing to watch him score a goal. Long may his passion for football continue. Go George. Go team.
Relaxing
As we were busy with football on Sunday morning and then a friends birthday in the evening we enjoyed taking it slow in between. Whilst Mr H was decorating our hallway George and I snuggled up in the big bed, watched movies, played games and read for a little bit too. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours together on a Sunday.
And so, that’s my this week I have been post.
It really has been the most beautiful week – the fresh air and blue skies have done wonders for my mood! (I’ not sure this coming week will be so good!)

Hasn’t it just. The blue skies and fresh air make all the difference
The blue skies make such a difference to how I’m feeling. That’s such a good idea to watch Sex in the City from the beginning, I’m going to do this too. I love it so much! x
