Me and Mine – December 2019

And so, it’s the end of the year. The door is closing on the final chapter of 2019. Chapter 12, the month of December is coming to a close. As anticipated this month has been wonderful. Unlike November it has been very cold and full of surprise and wonder. Winter arrived as we stepped off the plane in Finland to the most amazing snowy scenes. Christmas is no longer coming, it has been and gone in what feels like a flash.

Looking back at December, it truly has been a lovely month. Full of festive drinks with friends, a magical trip to Lapland, gift giving, slow days, movie days, happy days. Busy days. Many happy days. It’s such a lovely time of year. A time of year with so many celebrations for our little family. As I write this post it is our Wedding Anniversary Eve Eve. And then there’s New Years Eve and lastly my 40th birthday yet to come. So much fun to be had.

And so let me tell you a little more about what we have loved in Chapter 12 of 2019…

George

A Christmas party with his Football team, Buddy the Elf returning, a surprise trip to Lapland, lots of special gifts from friends and Santa and lastly all of us home together for Christmas time.

Daddy

Christmas celebrations with friends, finishing work for two weeks together, surprising George with a special trip to see Santa, taking time together to celebrate our wedding anniversary and spending New Years Eve with friends.

Mummy

Helping out at George’s School disco, the festive break with my boys – a whole two weeks, surprising George with our trip to Lapland, riding a sleigh through the winter wonderland to meet Santa, being pulled by husky’s on a sled around a frozen lake and lastly enjoying Boxing Day, just us.
