Wardrobe Edit: The Red Dress
I never used to be a Winter person to be honest. But I do love a midi dress, a pair of boots and a chunky knit. So I’m putting them altogether and wearing them all winter long. It’s been a style I have loved for a couple of years and for now I am sticking with it. Just make sure you try your oversized sweaters on underneath your coat as those chunky sleeves can be a little tricky.
I picked up this dress and sweater from New Look as Autumn arrived, it was the colour combination which caught my attention. I’ve never really been a fan of red but as this is quite a deep shade I think it suits me. Or at least Mr H hasn’t told me otherwise so I’m running with it. I am so impressed with New Look’s Autumn/Winter range and love their midi dress collection – definitely a brand to watch. I have to admit I often forget to look at New Look.
At this time of year my wardrobe mainly consists of midi dresses and oversized sweaters. I have been wearing my midi dresses all year long since 2015. There’s no going back. I often feel uncomfortable in denim during Winter – so I look for dresses that I can layer with roll necks, jumpers, tights and socks. So I don’t overheat when I step inside, instead I can drop a layer and feel more comfortable. I’m all about the comfort in Winter, although with a little dollop of KA sass for good measure.
