This week I have been
Eat. Sleep. Work. Repeat.
And that’s positive by the way. With all but one day the last week has been great. This week has been good. Full of challenge. Cosy evenings. Long days working. Looking back at last weekend it was restful, filled with football (of course) and just the way I like them. Centred around our little family. Enjoying the simple things.
I’m so glad that I have my family and friends around me. Because when the news came on Thursday about our furry baby I needed those people around me. It was somewhat unexpected. I’m not quite ready to talk about it just yet. I will. One day. One day I’ll write a whole furry blog post about him. But until then we’re going to enjoy him.
And so, this week I have been:
Watching
Well like everyone we have been glued to watching I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Brilliant TV. Easy watching and always good for a chuckle. And I love that George has been desperate to watch it. So we have watched it together on an evening before bedtime. He has laughed out loud. We have enjoyed watching it together.
Wearing
Always a favourite section to write up. Do I say that every week? Last weekend we didn’t really venture out if truth be told. Other than the football field we did not go far. It was a very slow and lovely. The most I wore was a big cosy jumper and my leather trousers. Always a favourite.
Listening
We’ve been listening to Orphans by Coldplay. What a blooming great son. I do hope they tour soon, its definitely a show we’d like to take George to see. Mr H and I have watched them a few times now, definitely our favourite band. And I definitely love their style and adore Chris Martin. Do you like Coldplay?
Making plans
My 40th birthday is fast approaching. 10 days after Christmas and I will be in my forties. Wow. For my birthday weekend I’ll be sharing it with my boys, something low key is what I fancy. And then the weekend after I have a weekend in a lodge with the girls. There will be a hot tub, lots of Gin & Fizz as well as good conversation and dancing. The girls have a private Whatsapp group going on now so I’m starting to feel excited. And maybe a little worried.
Playing
We have been playing Soundiculous. What a brilliant game. The guys at GamelyGames sent it to us as a gift. We even played it with Nanny and Grandad. What a great laugh we had. You basically have to sound out the words, there are 3 levels – easy, medium and hard. We’ve managed a few of each and oh my goodness this is going to be brilliant over Christmas and get togethers with friends. I will say, it’s a great stocking filler.
And that’s this week’s I have been. Have a brilliant weekend and week ahead.
I must the only person not watching I’m a celebrity! I should maybe give it a go!
How exciting about your birthday celebrations. I was pregnant and not feeling well for my 40th , so I didn’t do a party, which I kind of regret. Planning one for my next big birthday though!

Ooh I am really enjoying it. Although tensions are high at the minute which I don’t like as much.
