This week I have been
Absolutely freezing. Winter has quite literally arrived overnight.
I don’t know about you but the rain and colder starts have taken it’s toll this week. It’s time to pop the heating on timer. I’m so rock n roll. Grandad is still in hospital, it’s been a whole week now. We never imagined this time last week that he would be in hospital so soon after his operation. Hopefully he’s in the right place.
In other news, I will admit to getting a little excited for the festive season. The plans have started to unravel, the days out are being considered, we’ve got the pantomime and a trip to see the big fella in the diary, there’s social nights with friends happening. And, wait for it – I may have purchased a new decoration. I simply couldn’t resist the Laura Ashley pre-Christmas sale.
This week I have been
Wearing
My Dr Martens have become my new favourite footwear. I’ve actually had them for years and if truth be told it’s only in the last 12 months, more so this year that I’ve enjoyed wearing them. Especially because of boot socks, the best invention ever – no more battered heels. And then there’s the cosy hat, layers and winter coats. Ooh and my new autumnal nails, a little seasonal rainbow.
Watching
The Good Doctor. It’s a series we stumbled across on NOW TV. It’s an American Drama scene set in a hospital, they’re my favourite type. It’s set around a young Doctor who has Autism, about his journey and the ignorance and acceptance of his colleagues and patients. It’s really interesting and definitely one we’re binge watching. I love a good series that allows you to switch off and disconnect from the working day.
Supporting George
Watching George in his weekend football matches is definitely a highlight of our week. It is certainly keeping us busy, what with three training sessions a week and two matches at the weekend we are most definitely what they call a football family.
Feeling festive
It might be too early for some but I’m going in with all the festive feels. I went to Starbucks for my weekly treat and was surprised when my coffee was handed to me in a Christmas cup – Yay for the red cups. That reminds me I need to dig out my Christmas reusable cup. I think it’s time. It’s also time for my first Eggnog latte, oh my goodness that’s definitely a sign the countdown is on. Don’t get me wrong I won’t be decorating the house until December 1st – but I am thinking about this time in 6 weeks.
And lastly I have been writing
I’ve updated the blog with a post all about Autumn, it’s a cosy one. As well as our monthly Me and Mine post which is always a favourite. There’s a little Disney magic in there as well. Something for everyone.
And that’s my this week I have been. See you next week.
Its been so cold and I’ve really felt it. My youngest daughter has singed up to the local football team to start next year and so we will be becoming a football family too. I’m getting very excited about christmas too. x
