Me and Mine in November
And so, November – Chapter 11 of 2019 is coming to a close. As expected the month has flown by. Unlike October this month has been very wet and blooming freezing. Winter has arrived. Christmas is coming. We’ve all donned our Winter coats, hats and scarves and enjoyed walks in the Winter sunshine. It’s been a quiet month for our little family. So lovely.
We’ve been enjoying cosy afternoons watching movies. Simple pleasures. And let’s not forget football. Some matches have played on and others were rained off. I may have enjoyed the slower starts whereas the boys have been disappointed not to be playing. The season will be breaking soon for the Winter which will be nice as our weekends are so busy in December.
Looking back at November, I will admit that we all look forward to the last weekend of the month. It’s a little family tradition nothing gets in the way of this weekend. It’s a rock in the diary. Because it’s the weekend we head out into the Christmas Tree Farm, seek out the chosen ones, tag them and get excited for them to arrive ready for decorating on December 1st.
And so let me tell you a little more about what we have loved in Chapter 11 of 2019…
George
School cinema night, learning how to box with his friend Oscar, a Daddy and Son day, scoring a ‘worldy’ goal and decorating his Christmas Tree (we went early for George as he was so excited).
Daddy
Watching George play football, Lion King coming out on DVD, organising Christmas lights and decorations ready for December 1st, visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and making plans for festive drinks with friends.
Mummy
Winter sunshine, making plans with friends for my 40th birthday, cosy afternoons snuggled under blankets, buying some Christmas decorations, visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and wearing chunky knits.
And that’s this months Me and Mine, a gorgeous family portrait project of our little family in November. I’m so glad that I stumbled across this project all those years ago. Remembering to grab a shot of our little family has been a tradition for so long now that I hope my boys continue to indulge me for a few more years yet. And this month our photo’s were taken at the Christmas Tree Farm, a family tradition for over 10 years.
Have a great month and see you on the other side – in December for a festive round up.
