10 of my favourite Fashion Instagrammers
I’m always looking for new ways to inject more fun into my outfits. Traditionally I would open the pages of my magazines, fold corners and rip out sections. Most definitely a favourite past time. It’s one of those me time moments.
In recent years I have been searching Pinterest and Instagram. They’re my Google. Instagram is favourite platform to find inspiration. I follow some lovely accounts, lots that inspire and give me ideas for piecing outfits together. Some are relatable, some not so much. And so I thought why not share them with you.
Sometimes you’ll find me scrolling Instagram when I want a good injection of on-trend glamour. Or maybe when I’m looking for ideas of how to elevate my staple pieces. It isn’t always easy to shop your own wardrobe so when I’m struggling Instagram is where I head for inspiration. I’m all for easy-to-wear outfit ideas. As well as always trying to find great high-street buys inspired by the catwalks.
At this time of year I’m always looking for ways to have a little wardrobe update. And where better to take dressing cues than from some of my favourite and finest fashion instagrammers and influencers?
10 of my favourite Fashion Instagrammers
1. Belle & Bunty
Alice and Hannah. Two of my favourites. Always my first point of call when looking for outfit inspiration. These girls share my love for pink as well as silk midi skirts and coats. There’s so much to love about these girls. I love the street style, that they showcase a blend of high street and high end fashion. If only I was following these girls when I was looking for a wedding dress, they have their own dress shop, gosh it’s so dreamy.
2. The Frugality
Alex Steadman has been a huge inspiration to me over the years. She helped me to find my way back to fashion after becoming a Mummy. Her love for wearing a midi dress and trainer combo definitely inspired my long term obsession with the same. Alex shows us how to make the high street look high fashion. Who knew pink sparkles and a Breton stripe tee would work. She also shares chic interiors ideas to – a double style whammy.
3. Erica Davies
And then there’s Erica. If you are wondering how to layer an outfit, Erica is your gal. Whether its a polo over a midi dress, a jumper, blazer and a coat there is no-one quite like Erica. I love her Sunday style tips. Her home style intrigues me. Her love for leopard print and midi dresses make me smile. This is the lady that I turn to when I’m looking to add a pop of colour or need inspiration for layering. She isn’t afraid to go for something super bold.
4. We are Twinset
Sarah & Philippa. If only I had been following these girls whilst I was pregnant. Both have recently been pregnant and continued to offer advice and style clothes all whilst having a bump. Which I really struggled with when I was pregnant. These girls know style. Are so elegant. So beautiful. They offer their followers a blend of high street and high end style. Over the years I have messaged asking questions, they’ve always responded which is so helpful and unexpected. I find their style relatable and often affordable as a lot of what they feature is from the high street.
5. Emma Hill
Sharing her style one square and you tube video at a time. Not only does Emma share my love for Disney she is indeed one of my first accounts to stalk and scroll through when I’m looking for outfit inspiration or how to wear something a little a different. She does classic styling so well. The queen of blazers. A firm favourite. And she does wardrobe staples so well. This girl loves a blazer. I love her style. Her photography. Her accent. I also love to watch her You Tube videos as well. When she was in Disney I was a little addicted waiting for the next one to drop.
6. Olivia Palermo
Like many I first stumbled across Olivia when she starred alongside Whitney in The Hills. I won’t lie I didn’t always like Olivia’s character in the show but I did love her style, her life in NYC and most definitely her confidence. She oozes elegance and class. This account is a source of endless style inspiration, especially when it comes to high-octane colour combos and print.
7. Emma Rose Style
Emma posted one of my favourite outfits ever on Instagram (see below). I only wish I’d found the dress. Gosh I love that outfit. She has such a cool approach to personal style. I love her hair too. Being fashionable and comfortable in your skin is a winning combination which is how I see Emma’s feed. Emma seriously stands out from the crowd with her bold yet classic style. I love that she adds so much colour to her wardrobe. I have really enjoyed her recent collaboration with Topshop.
8. Style Mum
Pascale – a recent account that I have been following. Not a day goes by that I don’t scroll through Pascale from Style Mum‘s fabulous feed. From her perfect tousled beach waves and a feed full of excellent shopping inspo. She’s so stylish and so relateable. And if all of this wasn’t quite cool enough, she has two boys with the coolest hair who are also killing it. Such a gorgeous family. They remind me of an older version of my George.
9. En Brogue
Hannah has the best shoe collection. She’s renowned for styling flat shoes. I rarely wear heels so love seeing how Hannah styles shoes and trainers. I first came across her feed when a friend gave me her book as a birthday present – ‘Love Fashion. Loves Shoes. Hate Heels.’ That’s me. She can clash colours with finesse like no other. Her feed has so much personality.
10. Love Cloth Blog
Kim Turkington – this is the account to follow if you love to wear denim. Love Cloth Blog. Kim styles denim so well. As well as a midi dress and trainers. Such effortless and in some ways simple style. Kim focuses on denim, tailored pieces and timeless accessories to create outfits you can really imagine yourself wearing. And gosh, Kim’s wedding dress was so so beautiful.
And that’s my 10 favourite Fashion Instagrammers.
