Wardrobe Edit : The Green Dress
The time has come.
You guessed it. When I start to talk about my Autumn wardrobe. Although as I type this post it’s 18 degrees and the sun is set to return for the weekend and beyond. But, its nearly here. So I’m going in.
I’m calling this Topshop dress ‘the transitional dress’ of dreams. My wardrobe Edit : The Green Dress is coming your way. The one that will take me from Summer to Autumn and beyond. A dress for every season.
Dresses are my favourite transition piece.
For those of you that follow my Instagram will know that I love to wear my midi skirts, dresses and maxi dresses all year round. In Spring/Summer they’re feminine with sandals and as the seasons change I introduce trainers, socks, boots, jumpers, blazers, overcoats and tights. Oh, and hats. I cannot wait to style this one for Winter. Autumn is on its way and this dress will be one of my wardrobe staples.
Anyway, the green dress
What do I love about it? The colour, the print, the detail around the neck and it has long sleeves. Add a cosy knit and chunky boots and there you go. Winter afternoons eating a roast dinner in a country pub. I’m there. I’m looking forward to wearing it with my Dr Martens actually, to really toughen it up. Although I’m hoping that’s not anytime soon. Until then you’ll find me wearing it with a blazer and trainers.

So, this dress. Size down as it’s a smock dress so there’s lots of room. And if you love it as much as I do, buy the other pattern. Which I can’t find online to show with you, but I did pick it up in store last weekend. It’s beautiful and looks so different. Really pretty. You’ll find it on my ‘Style‘ story highlight. I think I’ll wear it this weekend.
This style for me, is my favourite. I feel good wearing dresses so they’ll always be my first choice. It’s one of those feel good outfits for me. We all need those in our lives right? Do you have a favourite item that follows you through the seasons?
Similar styles you might love
As I’m a little addicted to this style, here is a roundup of my favourite dresses on the high street that will take you through the seasons. Worn with trainers, boots, tights and then back to sandals. Sounds to good to be true. Never. You gotta have faith.

It works so well on you Kerri-Ann! Wouldn’t suit me at all but I do get a lot of inspiration from how you style your dresses with all the different accessories to change things up a bit from season to season and occasion to occasion.
