This week I have been
Or should I say last week I have been.
Running around, chasing my tale but really enjoying spending a little more time than usual with George. I was lucky enough to be able to take him to School twice this week due to Mr H’s work schedule. What a treat. I do love the School run, especially as four out of five days I am in the office before 8 am so often miss seeing his gorgeous bed head.
I’m actually a few days later in posting than usual. Family life took over. Being involved and separating myself. A good reason for the delay, we certainly topped up the memory box this weekend. Usually my routine is that I sit down on a Friday evening and reflect on the week, look back through my camera roll and write. Unlike most Friday’s George didn’t have football training which meant that we had a very rare Friday evening together as a family. It was slow and steady rather than somewhat rushed. It was lovely.
And so let me tell you a little more. This week I have been:
Enjoying the sunshine…
Hasn’t it been lovely? It’s been so nice to finally wake up to blue skies. I can’t help but think of this time last year. Such a contrast. My social media channels have been filled with folk grumbling about the weather, I have myself. I don’t like to be grumpy but in all seriousness the weather does that to you don’t you think? Waking to blue skies has made so much difference. Long may they continue.
Baking treats…
Rocky road it was. I only wish I had taken a photo for you. We had friends over on Saturday, they have just returned from their trip to Orlando so of course we needed to have a little gathering to discuss. To debrief and look through lots of photos. Compare notes. It really is amazing how you can have such different experiences. It got me all excited for our next break. Doesn’t a holiday do that to you? I love having something in the diary to look forward to.
Celebrating…
I took Katie out for a meal to celebrate our first 3 months as #TeamH2. A thank to her for having such a great first 3 months in the business and a little toast to us. It has been a wonderful 3 months of doing the ‘doing’. Hopefully the initial success continues to build and there are bigger and better celebrations to come. Here’s to the next 3 months and beyond.
Writing…
I’ve updated the blog with a few posts. I’m really enjoying writing, I have so many posts in drafts but honestly finding the time is another matter. I’m conscious that I haven’t written a fashion related post lately, I must change that. In some ways I wish I could talk to my laptop and see the words appear before me. Wouldn’t that be fun? Anyway, you can read all about our visit to Gatorland Orlando here, or my first post around my fitness journey at MADE here.
Wearing…
My summer clothes made an appearance which was lovely. So nice not to be wearing a coat or worrying about the rain falling. And I just love all the pastel shades that are now hanging in my wardrobe. I just hope this weather lasts so that I can wear them. There’s nothing quite like wearing a pair of sandals and having bare shoulders. This pink jumpsuit is from New Look, a bit of an impulse buy that I don’t think Mr H really likes. Whereas I just feel really comfortable. And then there’s my favourite H&M dress which I picked up in the January sales. I am so glad I did. I very nearly didn’t as I don’t really have anything white like this. But actually it’s my go to piece at the moment.
Oh gosh it has been so nice to see some sunshine, I had completely forgotten how it felt. Congratulations on 3 months – that has flew by!! Love both your oufits, it is nice to get some Summer clothes on.
The weather here has not been great, although we have had some bright moments, I cant wait to get summer dresses on and feel the sunshine. Congratulations on 3 months you are doing amazing I bet you are so glad you made that step x
