This week I have been
Prancing around in the Wisteria. And doing it for the gram, unashamedly so. Who wouldn’t when Trentham Gardens make it look this beautiful? I think the display gets better each year. This is the 3rd year I have seen it bloom – I think it’s one of my favourite times to visit the gardens. Although Autumn looks pretty great too. It’s been half term here and the juggle actually hasn’t been too bad, we’ve survived and more importantly George has loved his week. He’s spent time with Nanny and Grandad and then a friend helped out one day too which turned out to be the best weather day. I picked him up on Friday afternoon right in the middle of a water fight – a right of passage for any child I would say.
And so, this week I have been:
Enjoying a long weekend with the family
There’s something about a bank holiday that really makes me smile. We missed the first two as we were away in Florida so it was nice to fall into one just a few weeks after being back. And the sun shone all weekend long. I dream of the day that my business is successful enough so that I can afford for Mr H and I to only work four day weeks. Speaking of my business – H2 is 3 months old on June 1st. Wow those three months have flown by. Back to the weekend – we enjoyed drinks with friends, a family day at Warwick Castle, our first bbq with friends followed by a really slow Monday wandering around Garden Centres. I even made a phone case and found the Wisteria.
New hair & nails
I love new nail day. Although deciding on what colour to go for every few weeks always leaves me in a bit of a quandary. Decisions ey. Well I went for something a little different although mainly pink which is of course predictable. And then there’s my hair, years ago I would have been so reluctant to play around whereas in the last year or so I’ve definitely been braver when it comes to say, just cutting it all off like I did on Thursday. Well it’ll grow but for now I like it.
A day out at Warwick Castle
I mentioned above that we spent the day at Warwick Castle but I couldn’t resist writing a little paragraph about it. What a brilliant day out. We’ve had Merlin Passes for a couple of years now and never ventured over. I don’t know why really. We had a great day out, there was so much to see and do. We spent a couple of hours exploring the castle alone, what an incredible building. The views, the history. We all really really enjoyed it. I’m only sad our passes run out soon. We watched the Falconer’s Quest and were amazed by the birds. Sadly we couldn’t stay for the Wars of the Roses and missed the first showing, hopefully we can return before our passes run out. The glamping also looked brilliant, we might have to look into that for a a little break. Warwick itself looks so pretty.
Testing out the new Samsung Galaxy S10 (press trip)
I was invited to an evening with Sammi Jefcoate who is a huge fashion and beauty influencer. Someone who I have followed for a while now. We were testing out some of her favourite makeup products as well as playing around with the new Galaxy S10. What a great phone, and the camera. Wow. I took a friend with me who loves makeup and I have to say it was a lovely evening. We had fizz, cupcakes and took home a bunch of Sammi’s favourite makeup pieces which are all pretty fantastic. The Dior brick is gorgeous and that mascara. Its brilliant.
Updating the blog
I’ve managed to add a few posts from our trip to Orlando although I have so much more I want to record. If you’re booking a trip to Walt Disney World then I have written a post about booking fastpasses. And then there’s a post all about Aquatica which was our favoruite water park. And then if you’re like me and looking for lovely spots to take photo’s I’ve also added a post about the Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World. Yes they are a thing. I’ve really enjoyed writing my posts so far and hope to add more over the coming week’s and months. I think it will take that long to break them down into readable size posts.
And that’s it. My this week I have been round up. Have a great weekend, here’s hoping the sun shines for us all. We are off to see Aladdin, I really hope it’s as good as I’ve heard. I’m going to be naughty and have a big tub of sweets to myself. Mr H and I are also escaping to Manchester for the day to celebrate a friends birthday which is always so much fun. See you on the other side.
Ah wisteria, my absolute favourite. I am cultivating the tree in my garden currently. Sounds like you’ve had a fun packed week, I adore your nails – good choice! xx
