This week I have been
Enjoying the sunshine. You? It’s been a glorious weather week. I feel like this is the week we’ve all really got back into work, School, after School classes and the routine of not being on holiday. I have also been thinking of new ways to deliver the content I want to share with you. I wrote this post as my new blog and name was revealed. In many ways, as I said in the post there won’t be too many changes, just me and my ramblings and a few tweaks here and there. Like this post, it will now be a weekly ‘This week I have been’.
And so here is my first This week I have been:
Reading
I came home from Orlando to my new Red Mag, it feels like so long since I picked up a magazine. I’m hoping to have a lazy morning this weekend and indulge in a little me time. There are so many articles I need to read in this months edition – and of course all the fashion. I love the fashion pages. So much inspiration. But also the letters from readers, I often resonate with so many. This mag is definitely for me.

Catching up with friends
Our friends fly to Orlando in two weeks so we all enjoyed getting together for an afternoon and evening last weekend with them. We laughed a lot, talked about our trip, enjoyed scrolling through the camera roll and almost came away with another trip planned. We also enjoyed a glass or two. I actually found this Peaches & Cream beer and couldn’t wait to try it. We’re working with Best of British Beer on a Father’s Day campaign, who very kindly popped in a couple of beers for me. It was delicious – I guess any beer that looks this pretty was going to be a good one.
Writing
I’ve been catching up on writing on the blog which has been so lovely. I have so many posts I want to write. So much to share from our trip but also little updates and advice posts. I’ve always written tips style posts on the blog but haven’t really focussed on them whereas this is something I want to write more of. Are there any posts you’d like to see on The KA Edit? I love fashion, fitness and of course as I now run my own company I was hoping I might be able to add some value.
Instagramming
I’m really enjoying the app lately. To be fair it’s always been my happy place. A little edition to my blog where I can chat to people on a daily basis. I have lots of friends in these squares, a lovely community that enjoy chatting.
This could be an unpopular opinion but I’ve been surprised with all the negativity thrown at Instagram this week. I guess when there’s a focus on Mental Health it’s often a target but in all seriousness aren’t we in control of who we follow? Shouldn’t we be taking more responsibility for who we we engage with or more importantly who we allow into our circle.
Your feed should be filled with accounts that inspire you, make you laugh. Encourage you. I regularly have a little de clutter if I feel differently about an account, and honestly I don’t have a negative relationship with it at all. Anyway maybe that’s a conversation for another blog post.
Have a great weekend and week ahead.
I couldn’t tell you the last time I read a magazine. I used to have a Grazia subscription and loved it but I guess I just outgrew it over time.

I used to read magazines all the time, but I stopped when the girls came along. Now they are a bit older, I need to start again. I love that dress on you!
