Instagram Walls at Walt Disney World

Yes that’s right, I have dedicated my first post about our trip to Orlando all about the Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World. In actual fact this is the first of a couple of posts that I hope to write, as actually there are walls and Instagram spots all over Walt Disney World as well as Universal and Seaworld. Yes, yes there are. And believe it or not they’re a thing. And they’re a bit of a social media phenomenon.

They’re fun, quirky and wonderful backdrops.

We had a lot of fun seeking them out. For me taking a photo in front of a Disney Wall was a must-do on our visit to the Walt Disney Parks. Especially when they create such pretty backdrops. At times I felt like we were on a bit of a treasure hunt, talking to Cast Members who knew exactly what I was looking for (I told you they were a thing), being pointed in the right direction. In the direction of the #wallsofdisney. George often found them before I did.

To make your search a little easier, here are Ten popular Disney Walls and where to find them at Walt Disney World Resort. Because quite simply it took me a while to find them so I thought I would share them in a post for your delight.

And so I give you 10 Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World

Epcot’s Bubblegum wall

Which is just outside of Spaceship Earth. I think this one could be my favourite. You’ll easily spot this wall.

The Popsicle Wall

Located in Toy Story Land. One of my favourite walls as its full of pretty pastel shades. You’ll find this wall as you come off the Toy Story Mania ride. If you choose not to ride it and still want a photo, just find the Pixar ball and head down the path. One not to be missed.

Fichwa! Fellow wall

This wall can be found in Animal Kingdom. This was actually one of my favourite areas to photograph in general whilst we visited Walt Disney World. In Swahili Fichwa actually means Hidden. Which I think is perfect as so many of these walls are hidden, although this waving Mickey isn’t one of those. You can find him in the Harambe Market in Africa in full view. This was the only wall I had to wait in a queue to photograph.

You Are Most Beautiful

Sticking with Harambe Marketplace in the Africa section of the Animal Kingdom park. Walk through the food court, look for it at the back towards the left, you’ll see it set to the side of a a cast members-only doorway.

The Tree of Life

I’m sure you’ll all know that you can find The Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom. Magnificent to stand in front of. So beautiful day and night. There is a photo spot right here where I am standing. Although there are many spots you can grab a photo of this gorgeous tree. Be sure to return at night as the light show is incredible to see.

The Incredible Wall

Located in Municiberg which you’ll find in Hollywood Studios. I’m not sure if this is the actual name of this wall but it is in the ‘Incredibles’ area. There are a few actually, a pink one which I didn’t manage to capture. I guess I’ll have to go back.

So Long Partner

This gorgeous backdrop is one of the painted walls in Toy Story Land. This may not be an official #DisneyWall but we loved it all the same. It is situated as you come off the Toy Story Mania ride. It should be a wall as honestly who doesn’t love Woody.

The Pixar Ball

Again in Toy Story Land. This part of Hollywood Studios is an Instagrammers dream. I saw people pulling some incredible poses in front of this ball. Pushing it, holding it back as if it was falling on them. You do feel like a toy in this land as everything is so over sized. We all loved this area of the park. SO much fun.

Galaxy Wall

Situated in Epcot- this is actually one of the boarded walls hiding a new area being built in the parks so it might not be around for too long. There are variations of the colour depending on where you stand. It is just near to Soarin. The writing on the wall suggests it could be a Guardians of The Galaxy ride or area. How exciting would that be?

Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World

The Galactic Purple wall

Which is connected to the original purple wall at Tomorrowland Magic Kingdom – so I guess you could say that you have a choice of two walls here to snap. I stupidly forgot to snap the purple wall. Another reason to go back?

There are so many more Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World that I didn’t manage to find. Ones I missed. Or couldn’t capture as folk were resting their weary legs. Dam you Florida sunshine. If you’re ever looking for inspiration then I would definitely scroll through the #wallsofdisney hashtag. As soon as I stumbled across it I knew it would form part of our holiday.

Here are a few more Instagram Walls of Walt Disney World that I missed…

Moss Wall – Pandora – opposite the entrance to Satu’li Canteen

Toothpaste wall – Epcot, head to The Seas With Nemo and Friends pavilion

Epcot’s Blueberry wall (very close to the bubblegum wall)

Candy Stripe Wall – Magic Kingdom located at the Confectionary Store on Main St, USA – I really struggled to find this one

Blue Wall in Magic Kingdom, this Disney wall can be found by Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Tomorrowland

And lastly the Rose Gold Wall which can be found at Mission Space, at the exit of the ride – I am so sad that I missed this wall

I hope you find this list of Instagram Walls at Walt Disney World useful and have fun seeking them out. Be sure to let me know in the comments if you come across others. And I’ll update this post with a link to the remaining Instagram walls I found in the Seaworld, Universal and other areas of Disney.

I wish DLP would spend more time on their walls.

Thanks for popping over lovely. I think there’s lots of things DLP do well but you’re right having some insta walls would be a good move

Oh my goodness I will have to hit these up when we go again. I love them all. I didn’t see most of these with my big bump and running two kids around in the heat but I will definitely be eyeing them up the next time. The bubble gum one that’s your profile pic is my fave we saw it but it was shadowing and cloudy when we were there so it didn’t pick up the color popping like yours did. All so gorgeous!!!

Absolutely love this! I don’t know if it was a ‘thing’ when we went on October 2017 or not? I certainly didn’t spot any (though Toy Story Land wasn’t open then). I’m definitely going to have to go back and find some of them. How lovely of your boys to be willing to help you find them – my husband and Mimi would roll their eyes, though I think Ella and Lola would be up for a photo or two 🙂

They were so much fun. They’ve actually been around for years – if you look on the hashtag on IG and scroll they’ve been around for so long. I think if you aren’t aware of them you probably wouldn’t notice them. It’s give and take isn’t it, we all support each other. There were definitely a couple of eye rolls of Si at the end but for the most part he knew this was something I wanted to get out of the trip x
