What I Wore in March.
Writing my monthly Wardrobe Edit is one of my favourite posts to pull together. Although this month it doesn’t feel as interesting or inspiring for you guys as I hoped it would be. I do love to look back on my outfits, it often inspires me to wear it again – and I think that’s what this month is for me. So, what will you find here this month? Tips for shopping your wardrobe and not being afraid to wear the same again and again.
What a month of indifference when it comes to the weather. From rainy days where I needed to bring out my rain mac to days out where I didn’t need to wear a coat. Come on blue skies show yourself. It really has been a month of all the seasons. Cosy Sunday’s under blankets watching Harry Potter movies ready for our trip to Florida – which explains the lack of outfit photos to blue sky walks out with my little man. You can read more about March in my Me and Mine project post if you fancy a snoop.
Any shopping I have done lately has all been for our holiday and sadly I can’t share any outfit photo’s with you as the weather isn’t quite warm enough. Although it will mean that I have some lovely outfits to share with you when we are back. Bring on the holiday spam and the new clothes to wear. But for now I have been shopping my wardrobe as they say, basically not being afraid to wear the same again but with a twist so it feels different.
3 tips for shopping your wardrobe…
- Each Season think about having a good old rummage, declutter your wardrobe – grab a coffee and be ruthless. Pull out the bits you want to carry forward and put away those chunky knits (if we’re talking right now anyway). And don’t forget to look back at photo’s of what you wore this time last year and pull out those bits too.
- Don’t be afraid to wear certain pieces all year long – for me this is a midi skirt – I style them throughout the year as I have above. They make me feel confident and always smile when I am wearing them. Which is a great reason to make them one of your forever pieces. I wear them with tights, boots, trainers and sandals. With a jumper in winter and a tee in the summer.
- Don’t buy something that’s a bargain if you have a similar item in your wardrobe. Think about creating a different look from the clothes you have which is why I love to look back at what I wore the year before.
And as you know I love to share my outfits on Instagram and stories so do pop over there and say hello if Instagram is more your thing. And so join me as I share what I wore during March. Everything I have worn this month is old with the exception of the Hush Jumpsuit I purchased in February…
And so that’s my What I Wore in March Edit for you. If you’d like to see previous posts then you can take a little look here at my {Wardrobe Edit} posts. See you at the end of April, well actually it will be at the beginning of May until I am back on here writing again due to our break.
It’s been a real rollercoaster month weather-wise hasn’t it? Warm sunshine and blue skies back to freezing cold and rainy the next day! I’m staying firmly in my boots and jumpers until it’s a steady 20 degrees haha! Looking forward to seeing all of your holiday outfits next month – hope you get some gorgeous hot sunshine over in Florida.
Oh gosh it has. I’m longing for sunshine, not long now. I have my fingers crossed for sunshine x
Oh I absolutely LOVE that Zara rain mac, KA! I haven’t been shopping in so long. I’m hoping that having a wardrobe clear out will inspire me to get out there and find some new pieces! Great tips on how to shop your wardrobe though. Some items are definitely season-less and can be worn again and again. xx
