First Impressions of the new MADE Wellness Centre…

This post is in collaboration with MADE – A gifted press trip

Let me set the scene…

After a rather busy and crazy four weeks of the month of March – what could possibly be the best way to spend a sun-filled Saturday? That would be a day of exercise, good food, wellness and conversation. And lets not forget the outdoor jacuzzi with a glass of fizz to round off the day. Sounds perfect right? Then read on as this my friends was my reality just over a week ago. I spent the day at Staffordshire’s new Wellness Centre.

Let me introduce you to MADE – a Wellness Centre in Staffordshire. A haven of tranquility, positivity, fun and health. Sounds impossible right?

From the decor to the luxury feel of each and every room, to the personalisation of the service, food and sheer array of classes available and let’s not forget the joy that revolves around the staff. Sunshine beams out of everyone. Sounds too good to be true I know, but trust me when I say over the last 5 years I have trained in many places but none like this. You can’t help but feel inspired. In some ways I felt like I was learning so much as well. Whether it be a different way of approaching my training, mindset or to be more experimental with my food. That healthy and good doesn’t need to be boring. So much education. One of the slogans MADE boasts is…

‘MADE – Creating a happier, healthier everyday life through discovery, encouragement & positivity.’

I love this. As someone who has trained in what can only be described as dirty, cold and industrial warehouses to be invited along to this gorgeous venue for the day was a real treat. It’s so pretty. Luxurious. Exclusive. I’m not ashamed to admit that I have really struggled to train at my usual place since as it just feels like there is something missing. I need to persuade my husband to allow me to invest in a little bit of luxury, invest in me and my health & fitness but more importantly well being. If I took one thing away from the day, from the team and facilities available is that the two really do blend. Health and well-being go hand in hand.

Throughout the day we drank and ate delicious food from the Wellness Café. A place that avoids refined sugars and makes healthy eating fun and inspiring – a place I can’t wait to visit again. A taste sensation. As a family I know that we would all enjoy the food and setting at MADE. You can attend classes and visit the Café as a non member. But of course you can also become a member and enjoy many many more benefits. If nothing else you should visit the Café – you’ll get a sense of what it is the Centre as a whole has to offer. This lounge area is so welcoming and beautifully decorated, you can’t help but feel welcome and relaxed.

As part of the day we took part in a number of classes; Spinning, Dance Fit, Boxing and Yoga Pilates. With the exception of the Yoga/Pilates class I regularly train this way so I was really happy about a day full of all my favourite sessions. We visited the four bespoke workout zones, designed to appeal and inspire. You can tell as soon as you walk into each area that there has been so much thought, consideration and love poured into this centre. I personally loved the spin room and fitness gym. Both spaces are filled with high tech equipment, are spacious and truly unique to the local area. There really is nowhere like it. There is also an outdoor training area which would be perfect for a sunrise workout.

And lastly, we visited the Moddershall Oaks Spa which is on the same site. I have visited the Spa previously however not since it’s expansion and of course the introduction of it’s MADE Wellness Centre. I was blown away by the expansion and couldn’t wait to enjoy a glass of fizz in the outdoor pool. It was quite simply heaven. The perfect way to relax after a really fun, energetic, tiring, inspiring and informative day. Made – Made to Nourish. Made to Evolve. Made to Inspire. Made to Live. And I feel just that.

If you visit MADE do let me know what you think. I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed.
