Well hello Friday, you took your time coming around?
It’s that time, for this week’s Friday Favourites. To look back at all the little things that have made me smile. Now in some way this is going to sound a little contradictory – how quickly is the year going? In comparison to January I think February will feel like it came and went in a flash.
So what’s been happening lately, lots and lots of planning in the background for a HUGE project. Come March I’ll be able to share everything with you, I hate to do that secret squirrel thing but honestly I would be jeopardising so much if I did say something. It’s exciting, nerve wracking and everything in between.
On another note I’ve been very lucky to escort George to school twice this week. Which is double my usual routine and therefore double the loveliness. And oh my goodness I really do cherish this time with him.
And so, here are this week’s Friday Favourites…
New nails..
I love my new nails day. Always a favourite date in the diary. Something so small, that hour where I get to have some me time and best of all come out with refreshed nails, oh so pretty. Pink and Grey this time.
A winters walk…
We woke on Sunday morning to the most gorgeous sunrise and winter frost. Within minutes of waking I had us all ready to leave and head out to take it all in. As well as grab some silky shots. You know me. It really was a beautiful morning and the perfect start to our Sunday. They say a Sunday well spent, brings a week of content. It was just that.
Watched/Listened to…
We’ve started to watch a new series – The Passage. It’s a little intense. About Vampires. And actually we’re really enjoying it. And the main male character is Zac Morris – you know the one from Saved By The Bell. He’s rather handsome.
We also watched the new Dragons movie on Sunday, oh my goodness it was emotional. We all shed a tear, and left feeling so sad that it looks like their won’t be another. Oh Toothless.
And lastly… We have been working on a little blog collaboration with Classic FM on their Marvellous Musical Podcast which has been really exciting. He has relished trying something new and I have loved sharing it with him. And he adores David Walliams. It’s perfect for families with children aged 7-12 years. Do your little ones listen to Podcasts?
What I Wore…
Pink. Plum. Black. My three favourite colours at the moment. I thought I might have gone back white by now with my hair but actually I love it so much that I can’t resist keeping it for a while longer. And let’s not forget my Dr Martens, I haven’t worn them in so long, definitely needed for our Sunday morning stroll.
This weekend…
Mr H and I are being treated to a Spa day as part of a blog collaboration. We haven’t been to a Spa together since our honeymoon so I’d say it’s a little overdue. One of our treatments is a ‘beach hut’ experience which apparently will leave us feeling like we’ve spent the day on a beach. I’m really excited about that. A little bit of sun will be super. And let’s not forget the afternoon tea. Delicious (I hope so).
Have a great weekend and week ahead.
I love your nails, my favourite colours! And that Sunday morning sky is gorgeous, I don’t blame you for getting outside to see it quickly. I hope you had a lovely time at the spa. A beach experience sounds amazing x
Aww thanks so much. Nail day definitely makes me smile
