Friday Favourites…
Is it just me that wants to hibernate in my pj’s and cosy jumpers after what feels like the coldest week ever? Over exaggeration I know but crikey it’s blooming freezing out there. Or at least I would like to be at home with my boys enjoying a movie day and only venturing out to walk our fur baby. Living for the weekend over here. Oh look, it’s here.
What can I tell you about our week? A weekend of two halves, a busy day in Manchester on Saturday followed by a lazy Sunday hiding away from the blizzard. And then the week, well it has been a little strange in some ways. I have a felt a little meh and couldn’t shake it off. Thankfully time away from the laptop and phone helped. I am spinning so many plates at the minute and keep telling myself it will all be worth it. The highlight of my week was definitely picking up my gorgeous boy from School on Thursday and of course our walk to School on Friday morning.
And so let me share with you my Friday Favourites…
A day out in Manchester…
Last weekend was lovely, we went to Manchester on Saturday and visited the MOSI. We wandered around the streets, walked along the canal and hunted out street art. And took photos of course. We grabbed dinner at True Reds before heading home. I do love the menu and even better that they had 51% off for January.
Weekend style…
I styled my leather mini skirt with a jumper and boots for Saturday, I do love this colour combination. And then Sunday with the exception of a trip to the cinema I pretty much lived in my cosy jumper and pj’s. I’m thinking there will be more of the same this weekend. I’ve updated the blog with my Wardrobe Edit for January if you fancy a snoop.
Watched…
We went to the cinema on Sunday and watched A dogs way home – what a gorgeous story. As a family with our very own fur baby it was so emotional, it reduced Mr H to tears, George was incredibly close and I felt so emotional for most of the film. A truly beautiful story but gosh it made me want to go home and cuddle Alfie.
And then Mr H and I watched A Quiet Place in the evening over the weekend. A Sci-Fi movie with some similarities to Bird Box or so I am told. I love Emily Blunt and gosh she played her role so well. And I loved that her husband (in real life and in the movie) John Krasinksi; co starred and Directed the movie. Such a great collaboration.
Winter Scenes…
Last week I was talking about Spring and this week we have been engulfed in some rather beautiful Winter scenes. Pretty flowers dancing in the snow have definitely made me smile this week. And whilst I don’t really enjoy training of a morning in the freezing cold I do enjoy the scenery. Being snuggled at home as the snow falls or seeing the excitement on George’s face as he throws a snowball.
Florida…
I know I mentioned this at the start of the year, please forgive me. We are all getting so excited. We’re nearly at the two months mark. Mr H is now in full planning mode, with excel spreadsheets and daily updates for me on his planning. He’s tasking me with asking questions to those I know who have been before. We have two brilliant restaurant experiences booked. Have started to buy Disney themed clothing. Suitcases are being filled with all the clothes we are taking – which despite it being 30 degrees I can’t take all my usual summer wardrobe as it just isn’t practical. The excitement is building for sure.
Have a great weekend and week.
Oh you will have a blast in disney just remember don’t book your fast passes for afternoon book for all three in the morning as you can get more for afternoon after you use them at reception and also if you show up to a line that’s not long and have a fast pass make sure to cancel it and get in normal line so you can use that fast past on something worth “not ” waiting for. The App is amazing !!!! I am so jealous. Take me with you I will take your photos for you! lol 😉 Can you imagine us in Disney World together LOOK OUT mickey mouse! lol
Thanks for the tips love. The app does look pretty great. Hoping to make the most of it. Ha ha yes a girls trip to Disney would be very special!
Two months til Disney! How exciting! I haven’t been since I was 15 and it was amazing even as a moody teenager. I’m sure you’ll have an absolute blast. Love your outfit shots, you’re always so stylish. Love the pic of your fur baby. I don’t think I could watch that film, I’d sob all the way through – might be one to save for watching at home when it’s released on dvd. Have a great week x
Eek yes, only 2 months. Feels like it was booked so long ago. I’m trying to capture as many photo’s of him as I can lately, as soon as George came along he became the subject of most photos.
