Hello Friday.
Hey my Five Favourites from the week.
And hi, you lovely lot. How was your week? It was such a quiet weekend and week for us really. The complete opposite to the one coming which we’re all looking forward to. The weekend was so lovely in so many ways – slow days, quiet mornings together but it does mean that I am short of a silky image or two to share with you in this week’s post.
On another note, I have decided to make some changes to my blog which I am really excited about. I feel like this little space of mine has taken more of a lifestyle direction over the last twelve months and with some help from a friend we are redesigning the blog, changing the name and quite literally giving this space a huge makeover. It won’t happen until April when we are in Florida so for now it is business as usual.
And so, here are my Friday Favourites…
Signs of Spring…
Winter only really just arriving it is so lovely to see some small signs of Spring around. I mean, I love Winter. The frosts, cosy weekends and that winter sunshine but having a little bit of Spring in the house really has brightened up my week.
Street Art…
It was just George and I on Saturday afternoon. We grabbed a hot chocolate and Coffee from Starbucks and had a little wander around town. We went in search of some street art and loved what we found. We chatted and looked for clothes for our trip to Florida. It was a lovely, a really lovely afternoon. I love spending time just us. It takes me right back to my maternity leave days (I think I say this every time).
Lazy mornings…
When life is so busy, allowing yourself to slow down, taking a moment to breathe, time out just for you is so important. Whether its breakfast in bed, reading a magazine, not getting dressed until Midday – it’s all important for your well being.
Well, I’m all for slow starts and lazy mornings especially at this time of year. With the exception of briefly nipping out to an 8am circuit class both weekend mornings were just like that. Cosy. George welcomed the time to just sit and play, not getting dressed until midday is a real treat as usually mornings are so fast paced. There’s something about these moments that I want to hold on to.
What I wore…
After the snow arrived on Friday evening I hadn’t expected to leave the house on Saturday. But actually we woke to it all being rained away. I was disappointed for George who wanted to go sledging but delighted for me. It meant I could pick out an outfit. Weekends are always my favourite. I love going through my clothes rails and picking out an outfit. I guess with wearing my work style Monday to Friday it’s a refreshing change.
Experimenting…
Pink hair, don’t care. Just before the Christmas break I decided to get my hairdresser to pop a pink toner on my hair and I am so glad that I did. I was meant to have it washed away but then decided on impulse to add a little more and I am so glad that I did. By the end of February it will all be gone so for now I am making the most of having fun with my hair colour.
Have a great weekend and week ahead.
