Last weekend was just lovely. As much as we missed Mr H who is quite literally the glue that holds our little family together it was lovely spending time with my boy. I miss my maternity leave days, that one on one time will never be forgotten. I appreciate our time together so much, I think with working full-time and the evenings filled with football, drumming and swimming classes it felt lovely just to immerse ourselves in one on one time. He’s the most special boy.
And so join me in a little look back over our week…Last weekend…Where do I start? We had such a lovely weekend together. Did all the little things that ‘we’ like doing. I love that he has some things he likes to do with me. And then others with Daddy. We went to see the latest Nativity movie which I have to say was a little disappointing. George LOVED it which is all that matters. We saw the Snowman & Snowdog on the big screen – oh it was lovely. So so lovely. We went bowling and Pottery Painting. Believe it or not we also enjoyed lazy mornings and some downtime at home. Oh George Archie I do hope you’ll still enjoy a date with your mummy when you’re older. Will you?
Wore…..
My party frock on Friday night. I am so glad that I went with the pink skirt. I’ve written a whole post dedicated to this Christmas outfit – I loved it that much. And then comfort in my cosy jumpers for the rest of the weekend which you can find here – My Favourite Jumpers. All the cosy feels. And new trainers, I have been looking for some black trainers for a little while and was so excited when Mr H stumbled across these. They’re super comfy. An early Christmas present which I am so so happy with.
Made…
A Christmas plate at Emma Bridgewater. We are so lucky to have the Factory so close to where we live which has a gorgeous Painting Studio. This is definitely one of our favourite activities to do together. I love that their sponges are always themed to suit the time of year – it also means that he can choose exactly how he wants to decorate it.
This weekend…
We have a really lovely weekend ahead. Not much planned at all really, lie ins as I am so tired from getting up at 5.30 four mornings to train. Although I do feel good for doing so. And then a close friends 40th birthday on Saturday evening at a really swanky venue. I’m thinking that sparkles are a must. Have a great weekend and week ahead.
We always do pottery painting at this time of year and I love to see how their painting improves each year. I love that pink skirt x
I’m a huge fan of the skirt, I cannot wait to wear it with a big cosy knit very soon. Have a lovely week x
Aw I love the plate and i know what you mean we miss Chris when he is away but I do love the one to one time with the boys too. And I have enjoyed their company more and more as they are getting older x
George is most proud of it for sure. The one on one time is so important isn’t it x
