Autumn is here, well I think it’s very close and I for one despite loving Summer am ready for a new wardrobe. When I say new wardrobe, I won’t actually be shopping until I drop (if only) but I will definitely be picking up a few key pieces just like this midi skirt. I think that’s the key, choosing pieces which will work there way through the next few months and making the most of last years wardrobes. This skirt may have made it’s way into my shopping basket a few days ago. I blame the weather man, when you arrive back from 16 days of 35 degree heat to well lets just say jumper weather, what else is a girl to do. And so like any other respectable person in September I started to browse Autumn/Winter fashion.
This style of outfit has been an Autumn/Winter favourite of mine for the last two years. Definitely one of those feel good outfits. Never failing to feel comfortable and lends itself well to layers. Who doesn’t love to wear layers at this time of year. I love having items that transfer between seasons. The midi skirt is definitely one of those items that follows me throughout the year. Rain or shine. Depending on the print I can wear them with jumpers and trench coats but also tights and of course on a chilly day an ankle sock – just adding that little bit of warmth without the need for hats and scarfs.
I love the print on this one, it will look lovely with my pink blazer and my green trench coat when it gets a little cooler. Paired with these gorgeous spot ankle socks this is me in the early stages of Autumn. I’ve packed away my sandals, organised my wardrobe, made a list of all the bits I want to add – I am officially ready for Autumn. Cosy nights and weekends spent hiding under a blanket watching movies. Wrapping up warm and heading out for winter walks, grasping hot chocolate and reaching for a bobble hat.
Which outfit has you excited for Autumn/Winter? This is me until March…
I have added my favourite midi skirts to my style loves page and of course you can shop this look here…
