And just like that it is time to put together my monthly round up of #MyFamilyAdventures and after a really quiet March it has been lovely to have had such a busy April. As lovely as seeing this gorgeous boys smile for a few extended weekends. Coupled with the Easter holidays and enjoying more time outdoors I am spoilt for choice when it comes to pulling this month’s photo’s together which is a terrible problem to have *inserts winky face*. We really have been all over during the month and enjoyed being back out and exploring rather than spending so much of the weekends at home like we did in March. The weatherman has bestowed sunshine upon us which has allowed George and Mr H to get out in the evenings to play football which has made both my big and little man very happy indeed. Nothing like two smiley faces when you arrive home from the office.
And so our month looked a little like this… From sunshine filled evenings playing football, to weekend adventures at Alton Towers hoping to ride the new ride with friends, exploring Darwin Forest and more in Matlock Bath and Bakewell which you can read about here. The boy has been living his best life in the hot tub and on the trim trak at Darwin Forest as well as Water Walkerz which was so so funny – especially when Mr H gave it a try and quiet literally flopped. I have never known George laugh as hard as he did, even the instructor joined in – poor Mr H. And seriously, what a revelation a hot tub is.
We have been mastering the art of wall climbing after deciding to book a party for George’s 7th birthday *cries into my cup of tea*, honestly I cannot believe I am planning his next party. Where is the time going? Some days I look at him and think you look so grown up and then there are days when he is feeling under the weather and he needs me, just like he did when he was a baby. You know those cuddles, where they are literally holding on hoping you’ll make them feel better. We were both feeling a little under the weather at the weekend and quite literally enjoyed being wrapped up together under a blanket.
The month began with us exploring Whitby and ended with a big slab of chocolate cake to help fight off the bugs. And so, I give you our little family in April…
Are you ready to read all about everyone else’s adventures in April? Grab a cuppa and maybe even a glass of wine depending on the time of day and enjoy a little snoop around – don’t forget to stop by Laura’s blog, with having two hosts now you’ll receive double the love. As there are now two of us hosting we have decided to remove the badge and ask that you add a simple link back to where you have linked up so that people know where to join in the fun.
And lastly, don’t forget to join in over on Instagram using the hashtag #MyFamilyAdventures – Laura and I look through the hashtag and choose our favourites which we share over on stories. If you ‘follow’ the hashtag, its a great new tool over on Instagram where the photo’s pop up in your feed – you might even find some new accounts to follow.
See you in the comments and have a great May. And don’t forget that we will be going live on the 1st of each month.
