Well well March, you didn’t start off too well did you and the weather man certainly has surprised us with its snowfall and constant rain but thankfully you ended on a high and I for one am glad about that. We had sunshine on the last day of the month which certainly made us all smile as we arrived in Whitby for Easter weekend. Last month I wrote about how we have had such a great start to 2018 and then just like that our adventures got turned upside down. Pretty much for the whole of March I have been off my feet after injuring my ankle at training. The month seems to have dragged and we have all missed heading out on a new adventure each weekend.
I guess you could say that I need this post this month, remembering our little family adventures despite it being the quietest month in forever. And so our month looked a little like this… We stomped around Manchester for Mr H’s birthday right back at the beginning of March – we visited the Football Museum and Inflata-Nation which was fantastic. Sadly as there were so many children around I didn’t manage to grab a photo of the boys, as well as they were constantly jumping around. Fancy that *inserts smiley face*.
And then the snow hit, oh my goodness I sure hope we are in for a long Summer as crikey Winter has hung around for a while hasn’t it! The snow certainly made this six year old and thirty eight year old very happy indeed, I have never seen them enjoy their time sledging as much as they did on this day. And lastly, our Easter in Whitby and oh my goodness did we have a lovely time. Wandering around the cobbled streets of Whitby and Staithes certainly made me smile. The boys loved climbing the rocks in Staithes and we all enjoyed seeing the waterfall at Falling Foss. I’m going to write up a little post about our Easter break, do look out for it if you’re looking to head over that way.
And so, I give you March for our little family…

As there are now two of us hosting we have decided to remove the badge and ask that you add a simple link back to where you have linked up so that people know where to join in the fun.
And lastly, don’t forget to join in over on Instagram using the hashtag #MyFamilyAdventures – Laura and I look through the hashtag daily and choose our favourites which we share over on stories. If you’ follow’ the hashtag, its a great new tool over on Instagram where the photo’s pops up in your feed – you might even find some new accounts to follow.
See you in the comments #MyFamilyAdventures crew and have a great April. Oh and moving forward we’ll be going live on the 1st of each month.

Couldn’t agree more Mel, hopefully we have a fun april x
March felt like the longest month ever didn’t it? I’m so glad you managed to have some adventures despite your ankle – I hope it’s all healed properly now? I completely agree that we deserve a super long, hot summer this ear as winter really does seem to have dragged on forever. Fingers crossed.
Oh I know Chloe, it really did feel silly at one point. Sadly it hasn’t, I’m just waiting for physio x
Lots of smiles & joy – lovely to see; especially given how harsh March felt at times. It sounds like you’ve all made the most of the month, and the weather, and your Easter weekend exploring sounds wonderful. I hope your ankle is on the mend now!
A wonderful April to you! #MyFamilyAdventures
