And just like that we find ourselves on the last day of March and I for one am quite happy about that. Its hard to think that we took last months photos as we went on a big hike, March couldn’t have been more different for our little family. No big adventures, no hikes, and sadly no long walks. Which for our little family is a huge deal. Don’t get me wrong March has been a month of two halves, for the most part I have loved all the celebrations for Mr H’s birthday and quiet moments spent together as a family. But, I have missed our adventures. After injuring myself at training right back at the beginning of the month I have quite literally been off my feet, our little family adventures have been some what on hold and I just hope that as April arrives so do our adventures.
We hadn’t planned on extending our quiet weekends from January and February but really that’s all I have been able to manage. I don’t mean for it to sound like we haven’t enjoyed our month because of course we have. No matter what the situation we’ll always try to make the most of it and that is exactly what we have done. We’ve celebrated Mr H’s birthday, the boys tried Inflata-nation and loved it, we’ve watched Black Panther and Peter Rabbit and eaten the tastiest crème egg brownies. Chocolate makes everything alright! As does a glass of wine.
This month’s photo’s were taken on the last day of the month which is a first for me. I’m usually so prepared but as we haven’t really ventured out I haven’t taken my tripod anywhere. And so, as we arrived at our Pod in Whitby for the Easter weekend I thought I would make the most of the last few hours of the month by snapping a photo or six of our little family in March. I’m so happy that this is how it fell as already only a few hours into our break they make me smile so much. Relaxed and fun.
George is loving… passing his level 6 at swimming, the end of term, his first trip to Inflata-nation, sledging down Bunny hill and lastly a sleepover with his best buddy Freddy whilst Mummy & Daddy snook off to Manchester.
Daddy is loving… breakfast at Mackie Mayor in Manchester, watching Jessie Ware live, cooking some new recipe’s from Jamie Oliver’s cookbooks, Thai Food and lastly planning our Easter trip to Whitby.
Mummy is loving… visiting Altrincham Market for Mother’s Day, my new sparkly pink converse (a gift from my boys, aren’t they the best), lighter evenings, planning George’s 7th birthday celebrations and lastly a long weekend with my boys for Easter.
And so here are a few photos from March…
I have added this post to Lucy’s #MeandMineProject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.
Love these photos, that pod looks amazing. I hope you feel better so you can begin adventuring more again in April. x #meandmine
Me too it’s been such a quiet month for us in comparison
Oh looks like you are having such a good time. Love the outfit too. That pink chair looks so cozy although I bet I wouldn’t be able to get out of it if I tried in my state. hahaha Gorgeous family snaps hunny.
I’m so glad I grabbed these on our first day as it rained for the next 24 hours, there was at least some sunshine here! And yes you definitely wouldn’t get out of the hammock ☺️
What lovely weather your having! This looks like great fun, we did glamping for the first time this year and loved it. I love that pink chair/swing? Have a great time x
After Friday it rained solid for 24 hours – we definitely got wet! The hammock is definitely a favourite of Georges
That pod looks so cool, it would be so out of my comfort zone, I’d be tempted to give it a try though. Looks like you are having a lovely time.
I think you just have to look at it as camping but warmer!
