Hey December, what a dream you were. Filled with snow adventures, festive days out, elf-tastic trips, family meals and a magical trip to Disneyland Paris. Just the way every December should go. And just like November we have enjoyed easing into the weekends and days off over the festive period. Hot chocolate dates, movie afternoons and the excitement of the big day when George officially exploded.
Way back at the beginning of December the snow fell which meant only one thing, snowball fights and cosy afternoons watching the snowfall from the window drinking hot hot chocolate. And lastly our little family trip to Disney and of course the big day itself. There have been so many lovely family adventures in between which you can read all about here.
As I write this post, the boys are dismantling our Christmas trees and whilst some think it is a little early, December isn’t just about Christmas for us. We are all getting ready to celebrate our wedding anniversary, NYE and my birthday at the beginning of January. We were hoping to be in the Lake District for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary but sadly a fire, a disaster in the kitchen on Christmas Day has meant that several plans have been cancelled. And so, in a bid to stay positive and not to dwell on the fire here are some things we have all been loving in December…
Mr H is loving… watching Elf the Musical, snow falling, finishing for the festive period, watching the Christmas parade at Disneyland Paris and watching the new Star Wars movie.
George is loving… a snow day when his school was closed, his Elf Buddy returning, riding Crush’s Coaster and Star Tours at Disneyland Paris, having his photo taking with The Goof and lastly his very own electric scooter delivered by the big man himself.
And lastly I am loving… sleeping in my super king size bed (oh my goodness it is so big), the blue skies and blanket of snow which arrived at the beginning of the month, surprising George with our trip to Disneyland Paris, new trainers and a bag off Mr H on Christmas Day and lastly our family photos with big cuddly animals.
A few more photo’s of our little family in December…
I wouldn’t usually share family selfies but in all honesty it was all we had time for this month and it would seem the same happened last December. It wasn’t until I looked back through this years photos here on the blog that I realised they were in fact very similar to last December’s photos. A new tradition for December maybe? And so, to end the year here are 2017’s collection of Me and Mine photos. And lastly, I wish you all a safe passage into 2018, I hope the year brings many wonderful times for you and your family.
I have added this post to Jenny’s #MeandMineProject over on her blog Let’s Talk Mommy.

Oh no – a fire and a kitchen disaster doesn’t sound fun and I hope that whatever alternative plans you make can be just as much fun as going to the Lakes. I love your pictures this month – especially with the extra Disney family members! Happy Anniversary, Happy Birthday, and Happy New Year!
It wasn’t the greatest way to spend our Christmas day. Thank you for the lovely comments x
Love these photos and seem to sum up the month. We are early tree taking down people too and I think when you have other things going on it just feels right x
I think there just comes a time when it all just needs to be removed from the house. x
Some beautiful Disney photos, I long to back to Disney but I’m always wondering if Paris would live up to my expectations having been to Florida. Happy new year lovely lady x #meandmineproject
Thanks lovely. I can’t compare to Florida so not too sure really. We are hoping to go to Florida in 2019 for Star Wars
