Oh November, you were beautiful, full of bright blue skies, sunshine and that cold snap which takes your breath away but leaves you feeling all excited for the festive season that is fast approaching. Last month I remember struggling with the darker mornings and evenings, with daylight disappearing by 4pm it really did take some adjusting to. I feel like I have just about got a grip on things, which has resulted in us completely slowing down at weekends and fuelled on eggnog latte and ginger loaf.
What can I tell you about our adventures in November? Well, just like the month of October we have most definitely made the most of our family time, with the highlight being a trip to the seaside – the perfect break away for our little family. The sea air, long walks through the sand dunes and hot tea in our beach hut.
From gorgeous Autumn walks around the lake at Trentham Gardens clasping a hot chocolate, seeking out the pumpkins on a Halloween trail, riding the master blaster at Splash Landings, watching the most spectacular fireworks display at Alton Towers followed by lazy Sunday mornings and movie afternoons. We escaped to the seaside, visiting our favourite coastal town – Lytham St Anne’s for a long weekend. We were so lucky with the weather – completely blessed by the blue skies and sunshine for our stay. A break we all needed after some sad news about a friend of the family.
I love this monthly project, for no other reason than looking back through my camera roll and remembering those little moments ordinary in themselves, and sometimes the ones which disappear amongst the big ones. Every moment matters. And so here are a few words and photo’s from our month…
I said it last month and in fear of sounding like a broken record time really is whizzing by. I can’t quite believe that Christmas is so very close. The end of 2017 which has been a pretty fantastic year for our little family. And for that reason I will continue to capture his childhood as I am very aware that one day these days will be gone and I will be left with a teenager who won’t want to run through the sand dunes with me.
Are you ready to read all about everyone else’s adventures in November? Grab a cuppa and enjoy a little snoop around, don’t forget to stop by Laura’s blog, with having two hosts now you’ll receive double the love. Thank you so much for joining in with this project, so many of you have stuck with me all year and I really do appreciate it. As there are now two of us hosting we have decided to remove the badge and ask that you add a simple link back to where you have linked up so that people know where to join in the fun. See you in the comments.
I just adore your photos this month, a mixture of all of the things I love about November – fireworks, walks, family and a hint of Christmas – although I have 2 birthdays on the 30th which means Christmas is banned until afterwards. Thanks for running this lovely link up x
Aww you do? Thanks so much Sherry. Ooh yes I can imagine you separate the two, we do afterwards as have two celebrations very quickly after Christmas Day x
Such lovely, happy, sunshine-y photos! I love how you manage to get away for the weekend most months – that’s something I really aspire to as when we’re at home we rarely actually DO anything and I get so frustrated thinking I’ve wasted a perfectly lovely weekend of family time. I’m already looking forward to your December adventures 🙂
Aww thank you, we were most definitely lucky with the weather. Have a great month

It’s been lovely joining up with you over the year. It’s great that you’ve enjoyed spending time with one another and continued the adventures despite the colder weather. Merry Christmas to you and yours. x
